NOTD - OPI Push and Shove Duet Pack

January 9, 2014

Today I finally have a NOTD, since I haven't painted my nails since a couple of weeks ago. This NOTD is featuring one of the newest shades from the OPI Gwen Stefani Collection. This is called Push and Shove and it is a Chrome finish. I was happy to find it at a local JCPenney Salon and it was the last one. I was curious to see how it would work and if I would like the chrome finish. See a few more photos below of how the polish looks on the nails!

I have to say that this polish is interesting to wear. Application for me was good, I had no trouble with the polish being too streaky or applying in a weird way. I used the mini base coat that it came with, let that dry, and then started applying Push and Shove. I used 2 thin coats and it looked just as I wanted it to be. Definitely a chrome finish and a dull mirror like effect.

My nails are a bit uneven, so this is the kind of polish that is going to show every flaw in your nails. I have a few ridges in a few of my nails and you can see them when you look at my nails up close with this polish on. From afar though, the polish just looked chrome like and something new and different to wear on the nails. It says on the packaging that this polish is only going to last one day or the day you apply it. I left it on as long as I could and got up to the next night. The next night, 2 of my nails looked chipped and the polish was just fading and coming off. So it is definitely true that you can only wear it for about one day. Still, I find if you do your nails at home yourself a lot (like me) then you could enjoy this polish because of the chrome finish. I still enjoyed it and I'm pleased with the results.

OPI Push and Shove Duet Pack retails for $9.00 (Price will vary) and can be found in various salons.

Let me know what you think!
