Shoedazzle Review

February 25, 2010

Hi everyone! I have been getting many questions about Shoedazzle for quite a while, but never wanted to do a review until I got a pair of shoes for myself. I have been a member for about 6 months, and always browsed my selections, never bought.

Let me tell you a little about shoedazzle first before I more onto my experience. Shoedazzle has fashion experts that choose shoes for you every month based on your personality and taste. To determine this, you take a little test so they can get to know what you like and don't like. Then the stylists pick 5 shoes for you to choose from, you get them for $39.95 per pair. Free shipping and free exchanges are included.

Now always remember, you do not get charged on your credit card until you choose your first shoes. Then after that, you can keep getting shoes for each month or you can easily skip that month and no charge at all.

So this month, I decided to get a pair I liked. I had bought a pair that had said on the side by the description, fits true/slightly small. I usually fit a 6 or 6 1/2. Didn't think they would be that small, so got the 6. Recieved them in the mail, and couldn't even get my foot into them. Sent them back for a different shoe. The return was completely easy and hassle-free, and only took another week to recieve my other pair.

Here are the shoes I got (Called Bree):
Box, shoes, and comes with a bag to put them in.
I was kind of shocked they were Chinese Laundry! But they have their own Shoedazzle line, and shoes from other high-quality stylish designers.
So, with these I went for the 6 1/2, and they are a tiny bit big, but that's fixable for me. So I'm extremely happy about getting them and planning to get another pair next month!

Hope this helps some of you on the fence about Shoedazzle. Any other questions I might have not answered, just ask in the comments =)

Brand Bests #3 - Too Faced Cosmetics

February 21, 2010

Here we go onto the third brand bests! This time is Too Faced Cosmetics. I'm a really big fan of their products, and I think it's because I always love the packaging and quality is really good. Know that this is from my experience with each item that I have loved from each brand. This is my opinion.

Okay so enough of the little disclaimer, let's get to the good stuff! =D

Too Faced Shadow Duos

I would rather buy these then their single eyeshadows since they come with 2 colors. They are really pigmented depending how light or deep you want each color. You can you these wet or dry also which is great. I like to take these on the go with me if I ever need a touch-up.

Too Faced Mini Lash Injection
I love this mascara. It makes my lashes curled and stayed curled all day long. It's also waterproof and I love the mini size to take with you. Never smudges or flakes. and for $8.50? Great price for a great product.

Too Faced Mood Swing Lip Glosses
I only have the original one, which turns from clear to pink. But now they have 3 other ones that are color changing as well. I really want to try the rest. But I really like the original because it's extremely shiny and fun. They also have jojoba oil, shea butter, and vitamin E for hydrating and soothing your lips. Which I need because I have really sensitive lips.

TFSI. I am constantly grabbing for this primer the most for all my shadow needs. My eye shadow never creases, stays put, and makes my shadow more vibrant. I like that it is a squeeze tube because it's more sanitary for when you do makeup on others. Amazing stuff =D

Here were my brand bests!

Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Glosses

February 20, 2010

Hey everyone!
So these lip glosses really caught my eye and got me curious about how good they are. These are part of Milani's biggest product launch ever. They even have 3D nail polishes, new colored liquid liners, and HD concealer.

They have 5 different colors available at CVS, but online they have 7 colors. There is a blue (Movie Star) and orange (Stylish) that I believe are only available online. At my CVS, they didn't have those 2.

So I bought 3 colors:

In Vogue - Red with pink sparkles
Designer Label - Nude Peach with pink and gold sparkles
Starshine - Purple with iridescent and pink sparkles

My Review:
First off, they have a brush! Woo! I love lip glosses that have a brush instead of a sponge. They are thick, which I like, and smooth at the same time. The shine is ridiculous! So incredibly shiny that looks really amazing when the light hits them.

In Vogue - It's very bright and brilliant. This one is for the bold. My best red lip gloss that I own.

Designer Label - More of a nude but with a lot of shimmer. Love it.

Starshine - Like a baby pink with a hint of purple in it. Great when you want a little more of a color on your lips, but not overpowering.

So I hope this helps you if you have seen them in your stores! I actually want to buy all of them!

Review: Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo + Conditioner

February 17, 2010

I need to start doing some hair care reviews, so here is my first one. I never really do them, because to be honest, I'm really low maintenance on my hair. I wash it, air dry, and that's usually it. My hair is also super thick, wavy, and a football field long so you get what I mean. lol.

I like to switch hair products every 2-3 months usually with the way my hair is. So I bought Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo and Condition this time around.

Here is a close up on what it says on the bottles:
I was going to go by what smelled the best, but then I saw each one has different ingredients doing different things. And believe that I bought by what was in it, because I hate coconut. I never liked it. lol

My Review on Shampoo:
I didn't like the consistency at first. It feels like jello in your hands. I got used to it now and it doesn't bother me. I only had to use a small amount for all my hair, which was really great.

My Review on Conditioner:
It makes my hair extremely touchable and smooth. My hair seemed easier to work with. I have to say I'm loving how it makes my hair smell so good for days until my next wash. I still will not eat coconut, but it seems good enough for my hair!

So, my number one tip when buying this shampoo or any of the other scents, go for what you think your hair needs and what's in the ingredients, not by the smell.

And this week, Organix is on sale at CVS for $4.99 each! Check your local store!

Brand Bests #2 - Urban Decay

February 12, 2010

Hey everyone! So here is the second Brand bests which will be Urban Decay. I bought my first Urban Decay eye shadow back in high school. Didn't know much about the brand, just wanted an eye shadow. I also actually don't have that many Urban Decay Products, but what I do have I love. Know that this is from my experience with each item that I have loved from each brand.  This is my opinion. Also I'm going to pick items that are not limited edition, so you can always buys these products in store or online.

Urban Decay Deluxe Eye Shadows

I really love these eye shadows more than their original ones. You get way more shadow and the color payoff is amazing. I also like how each one has a unique piece of art inspired by street art, graffiti, and graphic design. Plus if you don't have a mirror, it comes with one.

I don't usually buy a lot of mascaras, but I seem to buy this more now ever since I tried it. My lashes are long and straight, so length is already in my favor. But my lashes don't hold curl. Every time I wear this mascara, it makes my lashes more curled and they actually stay. I love it.

These are the most amazing eye pencils ever! They are so smooth and creamy when you apply them and stay on all day long until your ready to remove. Even a better plus, is they are waterproof! I always use the eye pencil in Zero for tight lining and if I'm going to line my waterline. Best investment from Urban Decay. If you get one thing from them, it's these.

Lastly, but definitely not least, the primer potion. Of course everyone should know about this, and own at least one bottle. I have about 3 for now and love it. Makes my eye shadow stay all day long without any creasing or smudging. No more to really say but amazing stuff.

So these are my brand bests!
What are your Urban Decay Bests?

Brand Bests #1 - Benefit Cosmetics

February 6, 2010

I decided to start doing regular posts on best buys from different brands. Know that this is from my experience with each item that I have loved from each brand. Also I'm going to pick items that are not limited edition, so you can always buys these products in store or online.

First post, we will start off with Benefit. I love mostly everything from Benefit. There are a few things I think that aren't worth the money in my opinion. But these are all the bests that keep me going back for more.

Dandelion Face Powder
I really like all the face powders by Benefit, but this one is my favorite. It's very sheer and lightweight. It has a little bit of shimmer, which I like. You can build the color to either really sheer or dramatic. I rarely ever use the brush. I use my own brush, to me it's better. I kind of wish it wouldn't have the brush and the price would be a little cheaper. But worth it.

I just started using this makeup remover about a week and a half ago. I love this!! I hate some makeup removers that are way too oily or way too drying to the skin. Even makeup wipes sometimes bother me. At night, I just want to take all my makeup off as fast as possible and go to bed. This takes me probably less than 2 minutes to take all my makeup off. Afterwards, it kind of feels like it's going to be oily, but not at all. Your skin is completely soft and hydrated.

I used this all up and now I need a new one. I love this all year long, but really more in the summertime. SPF 15 to protect your skin and very lightweight.  This is probably the only tinted moisturizer I have ever really ran out of and need more. haha amazing.

As most of you have probably seen, I have written about Brow Zings before in my brow post. But it is another Benefit Best for me so here it is again. It has everything with brow wax, brow powder, tweezers, two different brushes. What more could you ask for in a brow kit? Love it.

So these are my favorites from Benefit.

If you have a certain brand you want my favs on, let me know in the comments below.
