L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder in 318 Nautral Buff - Review

July 2, 2013

I was intrigued to buy this new L'Oreal Liquid Powder when I saw it at Target. I really wasn't sure how this was going to be with my dry skin but I decided to give it a try. Now that it's summer and a million degrees outside, my skin has not been so dry, more on the normal side. So I figured this liquid powder would work out for me. See my full review below!

Packaging: I'm not completely happy with the packaging. The product itself is so runny and watery that when you need to pour this out you have to be extra careful. I've had a lot of close calls but it never spilled or got messy. I definitely prefer a pump when using foundation.

Application: It's very runny at first but once you apply, it dries down to a semi matte finish. The coverage was light to medium depending on how much you want to use. The bottle says to ONLY use your fingers when applying this, not recommended with a brush or sponge. I used my fingers the first few times and i didn't like the way it was applying. So I've been using it with a flat top foundation brush and I found that to work better. I don't know why but for me I liked it with a brush. It gave a more even application and wasn't so messy. It lasted for a few hours, and then I ended up with a few dry patches on my forehead and around my nose. Womp! This wasn't looking that great once I had it on during the day.

Recommend? No, not for those with dry skin. If you have oily skin then definitely give this a try! Let me know if you do and how you like it.

L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder retails for $10.99 and can be found at CVS, Target, and where L'Oreal is sold.

  1. That sure does look thin and runny. I think I will pass on this product. I would knock that bottle over in a heartbeat and then there would go all the foundation.

  3. I was thinking about picking this foundation up but I think I am going to pass. I prefer a higher coverage and this doesn't seem like it will offer me that. Great review!

  10. Yes, probably better to pass. Try the new Maybelline gel stick foundation. That one is great for dry skin.
