NYX Cosmetics Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator (2 Shades) - Review

July 19, 2013

I was really interested to try these new NYX Liquid Illuminators since they can give a great glow without being shiny. I wanted to make sure that these aren't going to look cakey or have too much shine on my face. See my review and swatches below!

More information on these Liquid Illuminators:
Capture that sexy glow with our lightweight, multi-functional illuminator. Use as a foundation base or over cheekbones, décolletage, or cupids bow for that refreshing luminosity that'll have everyone talking.

Application: First thing I noticed was how little you need to use. I squeezed out way too much, so just know you only need a little dot and it should be enough.  I loved both shades but I used Gleam on my cheekbones and it gave my face a nice sheen. A bit of color and not too glittery or shiny. Gleam is my favorite of the two, but I love Sunbeam as well. I use Sunbeam as a highlight under my brow bone, mixed with my foundation, and on the top of my cupids bow. I've heard that Sunbeam is a close dupe to Benefit's High Beam. I used to use High Beam and it is quite close, enough to be able to use this instead of the more expensive one.

Recommend? Yes, I love these right now for Summer. If I'm going to go out and want that extra glimmer on my face without being too much, these are the best liquid illuminators to use.

NYX Cosmetics Born to Glow Liquid Illuminators retail for $7.00 each and can be found online.

Let me know if you have tried these!
