One of the newest collection to come from Wet N Wild has been the 123 Sesame Street line. There are so many products to choose from such as lipstick, lip glosses, a makeup bag, setting powder, a makeup sponge, makeup brushes, and of course the Eye & Face Palette. There are so many more products that I haven't mentioned. If you want to see more, you can find them on the Wet N Wild website. Today's post is going to focus on the Eye & Face Palette which features 15 shades all ranging from mattes to glitters to shimmers. So what are my thoughts on this? I just want to mention and take the time to appreciate how much detail and effort went into this collection. More so on this palette. The imprint on certain shades with various characters really makes the palette stand out. The artwork on the front of the palette is so cute and they did a great job at making the shades work well together.
Most of the shades that they went with in this palette are definitely shades I don't already have. I'm happy to see they are on the unique side and keeping everything vibrant and pigmented. Since this is a face and eye palette, some shades are not for use around the eyes or lips. Let me give a quick breakdown.
Shades not intended for around the eyes: Laugh Together, Peace&Love, PlayWithMe, Fairy Garden, and SesameLove
Shades not for use around the lips: FollowMyBeat, Peace&Love, PlayWithMe, Fairy Garden, SesameLove, StreetSmart, and Grouchy
So this is what they recommend when it comes to it's usage. This is also why it's called a Face and Eye Palette vs. just being an eyeshadow palette. I've played around with the colors and lean towards using the neutral shades and doing a pop of color here and there. The colors will really pop when you use a primer or base on the face or eyes. Overall as one product, the price is great on this. You are definitely getting a good unique palette that has multi-uses to it.
