Worth it? Maybelline The Falsies Surreal Extensions Washable Mascara

 I tried out the newest Maybelline products called The Falsies Surreal Extensions Washable Mascara. I had really high hopes for this since it features different sized fibers which are made to help with lengthening and volume. The one downside I had immediately when buying this was no waterproof option. I tend to use waterproof mascara because it helps to keep my lashes curled throughout the day. But I still wanted to give this a try and maybe even layer it with a mascara that I already own. So was it worth it? Find out more below. 

 

So like I mentioned, I had really high hopes for this. The pictures online and on the packaging make it look so good. I like the lavender packaging but the brush is something I'm not fond of. It features a brush with long, twisted bristles making it harder to grab my lashes when applying. I noticed the volume right away from the formula but no real length. It is also made for 24 hour wear but I experienced smudging and flaking. I decided to try it out another day and layer it with a waterproof mascara but it just made my lashes weighed down and look messy. There is no hold at all for curl if that's important to you.

 

So was Maybelline The Falsies Surreal Extensions Mascara ($12.99) worth it? No, not for me. I would prefer a waterproof version and will try it when it comes out. But I still think the flaws of the brush and formula will keep me away. Let me know if you have tried this and what you think.
