NEW: Kevyn Aucoin The Molten Matte Liquid Lipsticks

September 10, 2018

Kevyn Aucoin has launched a new collection of matte lip colors in their Molten Liquid Lipstick line. I have three shades to show you which are Demi, Dolly and Kate. You can find 7 shades available on thier website and on Sephora's website. There are neutrals, pinks, and reds which is a good start to a new matte lip collection. When I'm trying a new matte lip color, I find the formula to be the most important because I want it to be long lasting, comfortable and pigmented. See swatches and more on my thoughts below.

The packaging on the Kevyn Aucoin The Molten Matte Liquid Lipsticks is the same as their other lip products. The slanted doe foot applicator makes the lip color glide on super smooth and with hardly any effort. Plus, the pigmentation on these are amazing! I love the shade range because they give my lips full on color and look really nice.

The shade Demi is described as a cool purple mauve and I ended up really liking this color. This would be a great color for fall and wouldn't be too dark when wanting something neutral. Dolly is a rosy pink and is almost a brighter pink when I put it on my lips. I ended up mixing Demi and Dolly together to get a really pretty pinky mauve that I love. Kate is more of a deep merlot shade and is another really pretty fall color.

The formula of these Moltem Matte Liquid Lipsticks is so good. Once it started to dry down (which was pretty quick) the color did not budge, move, or transfer at all. Even when I ate and drank something, the color did not go anywhere and it stayed on my lips. After wearing it for hours, the lipstick was really comfortable and my lips didn't feel dry. This is one of the most pigmented and comfortable matte liquid lipsticks I have worn.

Kevyn Aucoin The Molten Matte Liquid Lipsticks retail for $30 each and can be found on the Kevyn Aucoin website or Sephora website. Other retailers as well.
