PMD Personal Microderm System - Review

January 12, 2015

Today I have a review of the PMD Personal Microderm System. This is a great investment to make for your skin if you don't want to spend the money going to get a treatment every month in an office. I personally have sensitive and dry skin, and I wanted to make sure that this was going to be safe to use. I didn't want to break out or my skin to feel red in any way. I was assured by the company that this is completely safe for all skin types. See my review below!

First, what is microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a noninvasive form of exfoliation and mild skin resurfacing that removes the dead skin cells from the Stratum Corneum, the outer most layer of the skin. The Stratum Corneum is the layer of the skin affected by fine lines, wrinkles, blemishes, acne, and scarring. The concentrated microdermabrasion treatment exfoliates this skin layer to break apart these common imperfections. This then triggers the body’s healing mechanisms, causing the removed dead skin cells to be rapidly replaced with healthy, new ones.

The PMD Personal Microderm is an at-home microdermabrasion device that uses Aluminum Oxide Crystals and a vacuum suction to smooth away dead skin cells and literally uncover younger skin. When used just once a week, the PMD will minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, hyperpigmentation and blemishes for a vibrant, youthful complexion.

You start off with the training disc which helps you get used to the device and get used to the way it feels. It doesn't hurt as all, more like a small vacuum pulling on your skin. There are different discs to use depending on your skin type so I use the Blue Disc which is for sensitive skin.

After the first few uses I already noticed a slight difference in my skin. It looked more smooth and looked brighter. After about a month and a half I wanted to see if it would help with this small patch of hyperpigmentation that I have on my lower cheek. I can say that it has slightly improved but it's still there. Of course this will probably take more time to focus on and be able to lighten it up completely. The overall appearance of my skin however has been better than ever.

My skin gets dry and exfoliating is key to getting all the extra dry skin off and letting my skin breath. This PMD device does just that for me. Something like this is more of an investment for your skin. It's not cheap, but if you feel like your skin need something like this then you will enjoy it.

PMD Personal Microderm retails for $179.00 and can be found online. It is currently on sale for $159 on their website. Also, I have a 15% coupon code if you use aqua15!

Hope this review was helpful, let me know if you have any questions and I will try and answer them.
