Today I have a review of a new lip balm that is dual ended for night and day. It is the new Chapstick Hydration Lock and I got this in my Beauty Box 5 last month. Ever since then, I have been using this and have been really pleased with how the balm works. Find out more below!
The day side has a scent that is almost exact to Carmex. It has SPF 12 which is great for when you are out and need some kind of sun protection for your lips. The balm itself is lightweight, but you can feel the balm on your lips and helps smooth out any dryness. Usually with some lip balms I either throw it in a drawer and forget about it or I somehow lose it. This one has been by my side since I got it.
The night side of the Chapstick has a calming chamomile scent and has more of a thicker texture than the day side. Not too thick though where it feels like your lips a extra coated with balm. Just enough to make it feel good on the lips and it feels like it’s going to stay on for a longer period of time. Almost instantly of applying the night side, I feel my lips more hydrated and lines are smoother. It also does indeed last longer throughout the night and my lips feel softer and no more dryness when I wake up.
If you are looking for a new Chapstick, give this one a try. I was not disappointed.
