Sigma Beauty Creme de Couture Eye Shadow Palette - Swatches and Review

September 24, 2013

When I heard Sigma was going to come out with a Macaron inspired makeup collection, I knew I just had to get something from it. I ended up buying the eye shadow palette and I am please with what it came with. There are 16 different shades and all of them are matte finish. This excited me even more since I don't own a lot of bright matte shadows so this is something fun to have. See more pics and swatches below!

Redberry Rose, Apricot Flower, Passion Fruit, and Cherry Blossom.
Meyer Lemon, Ginger Pumpkin, Cafe Au Lait, Blueberry Cream.
Violet Whip, Lavender Honey, Cassis, Elderberry.
Blue Chocolat, Almond Pear, Creme De Minthe, Citron Pistachio.
Description of the Creme de Couture Eye Shadow Palette:
Indulge in the Limited Edition Crème de Couture Eye Shadow Palette featuring a sweet assortment of 16 shades of candy-colored matte finishes. This collection was created to bring forth a fantasy of whimsical makeup looks.

As soon as I swatched the top row in this palette, I thought this is not going to be what I expected. I guess because the top row didn't show up too well on my skin tone. Once I kept swatching the rest, then my excitement was back and I knew this purchase was a good one. The shadows are pigmented and not chalky at all. All of the shadows were swatched on bare skin with no primer. Pretty impressive for having nothing underneath, and still impressive when they do have a base. I tried these with a white base and the colors just pop way more than they already do.

I have to say that mostly all of the shadows are amazing quality and are my favorites. The only two I wasn't too impressed on were Apricot Flower and Passion Fruit. Of course they looked different on my eyes versus on my arm. On my eyes they are a good base color to start with and then you can build from there.

I don't have any shadows like these in my collection already, which makes this purchase so worth it. This is actually my first Sigma palette and the eye shadows are awesome quality and overall the pricing is quite reasonable for what you are getting.

Sigma Beauty Creme de Couture Eye Shadow Palette retails for $32.00 and can be found online.

Recommend? Yes! I personally love this palette and it gives me something new to try out and play with more color.

Let me know what you think of this palette!
