Recap: LuckyFabb West 2013 Day 1

April 6, 2013

When you hear about Bloggers talk about the LuckyFabb conference, all you hear is how wonderful and amazing it is. But that is really the only way to describe LuckyFabb. For me it was one of the most inspirational and motivating blogging events that I have ever been to. The entire event really focuses on the tools you need to make your blog a business success. I spent most of the day with Olivia so I was happy to have someone there I really knew. Day 1 there was a lot of people to listen to and take notes on some great advice. Let's see some more pics!

I had to zoom in on Kelly's nails because they were just that awesome!

The best fashion advice from Kelly? “Put your money in your shoes and your handbags and a good blazer and buy everything else vintage or high street.”

Conversation with Drew Barrymore
"I swear to god happiness is the best makeup." - Drew Barrymore.

I was really excited to hear what Drew Barrymore would say about her new makeup line Flower Beauty. She wanted to make sure that she was part of the creative process of making all the products. There are 181 products in the line as of right now, and will definitely be expanding. She wants to focus on the next products being more brighter and bold. She said she went bold with the lipsticks first and everything else is more wearable.

Betsey Johnson Q&A
I still can't believe Betsey Johnson is 70! Wow, such an amazing woman and being able to bounce back from the Bankruptcy she went through a year ago (which was her worst year ever she says) shows just how strong of a woman she is. She didn't want to stop being a designer and now she is going to be just as successful as she was before. She has her own reality show coming out on the Style Network called "XOX Betsey Johnson" and it airs May 12th which we saw a screening and it looks so funny and amazing.

So that was day 1! Check back for my recap on Day 2 :)

  2. It looks like fun. I would have loved to meet Blair Fowler too and Drew Barrymore. Two of the panelists have on the cutest orange shoes. Funny they are both in the same picture and seated side by side. No one else is wearing orange and yet there they are. Wonder if they planned it? Remember when you used to call your bestie to see what she was wearing to school the next day so you could either plan to coordinate outfits or make sure you both weren't too matchy matchy or you'd look dorky dressed alike.
