Maybelline Lemonade Craze Eyeshadow Palette - Swatches

April 28, 2018

The Maybelline Lemonade Craze Eyeshadow Palette has been a new and exciting product that everyone seems to want to try. I bought mine from Ulta and it has been a palette I reach for quite often. It comes with 12 eyeshadow shades that range from neutrals, shimmers, mattes, and even a yellow shade. Maybelline shadows have been improving with pigmentation and long lasting quality, but does this palette live up to the hype? Find out below.

The back of the Maybelline Lemonade Craze Eyeshadow Palette ($13.99) has three different looks that you can follow: Lemonade Pop, Pink Lemonade, and Peach Lemonade. It also has the names of the shadows on the back and on each of the shades which I appreciate. The packaging is sturdy plastic and no mirror which is fine for me.

So far this palette has had mixed reviews. Some it's great and they love it, while some say it's lacking pigment and too many neutrals. I personally have loved this eyeshadow palette. It has just the right amount of neutrals, brights, mattes, and shimmers. I love Ice Pop and Lemonade Craze and they are buildable for more color payoff. I definitely use an eyeshadow primer and a light colored base to make the brights pop. I love the variety in the palette and it has been my go-to recently.

None of the mattes were chalky in any way and I found the shadows to be better quality than previous Maybelline shadows. The shimmer shade just one swipe and didn't need much building up. There was some kickback from the shadows, but nothing too intense or too much. Also, the lasting power on these was pretty good. The shades lasted mostly all day and faded gracefully, if at all. If you see this palette in stores, pick it up and try it out for yourself.

Maybelline Lemonade Craze Eyeshadow Palette can be found at Ulta, CVS, Walgreens, and other retail stores.
