It's time to shake up your makeup bag with the new Rimmel Shake It Fresh Mascara. It has a new shaker system that refreshes the formula once it starts to dry out. This is a great way to extend the life of your mascara since usually you need to throw them out within 3 months. The packaging is a new idea, but how is the formula? Is it the best mascara out there in the drugstores? Find out my thoughts below!
More information about the Rimmel Shake It Fresh Mascara:
Introducing Rimmel's Shake It Fresh Mascara with exclusive patented
packaging designed to refresh your mascara with every shake. With a
simple shake, the mascara will be immediately refreshed to its original
ideal smoothness, so volume always stays perfectly clump-free. The brush
helps to build volume without clumps, fanning out the lashes corner to
corner with maximum separation making lashes look volumized, lengthened
and defined.
There are three black shades to choose from with this mascara: Extra Black, Extreme Black, and the one I tried which is Very Black. You can see just how big the brush is and that caused a bit of trouble while I was applying. I had to be careful to not get the mascara on my eyelid when I was putting this on my lashes. The brush does grab every lash and separates nicely.
The formula is one that you are going to love or hate. It is very wet and is almost slippery when your applying it. I personally prefer a drier formula when it comes to mascaras since my lashes need help to stay curled. After applying this and letting it set, my lashes immediately fell and had no curl at all. There was also no length from this formula which is usually what I want. I did notice there was a good amount of volume but overall it was not enough to call it a good mascara. I do enjoy the concept of the packaging from Rimmel, but there is room for improvement with the formula.
Rimmel Shake It Fresh Mascara retails for $5.99 and can be found at ULTA
and other retail stores.
Have you tried this? Let me know what you think!

I'm glad I didn't pick this up on my drugstore run today. Like you, I need a mascara that will hold my curl (a curl that I painstakingly create! lol) and a wet mascara just won't do. Thanks for the review!
