Today I have a closer look at the Kevyn Aucoin The Making Faces Beauty Book. It is a how-to beauty book with chapters of products that are Kevyn Aucoin's cult favorites. There are three palettes to create different and modern looks. All of the products are pigmented and last throughout the day. I love how the packaging matches the famous Kevyn Aucoin The Making Faces Book. See swatches and more below!
Each chapter book comes with a how to guide and gives some nice tips on how to use the products. The first chapter is all about contouring and comes with 3 powders. There is a sculpt, highlight, and bronze shade. The Sculpt - Medium is a nice shade and works well on my light/medium skin tone. The Highlight - Candlelight shade is pretty sheer and bronze - Desert Nights is a warm brown shade.
Chapter 2 is called Blush & Define and it comes with 2 blushes and 3 powder shades to define the eyes. The two blushes are Shadore (pink) and Doline (peach). They are pigmented and easy to build up. The define products come in Black, Dark Brown, and Navy. These are really great to smudge on the upper ash line or under the bottom lashes.
There are 8 eyeshadows in Chapter 3 and they work out amazing together. All of the shades are pigmented and I love how easy they are to blend. You can create different looks from neutral eye looks to smokey eye looks. The stars of the entire book would definitely be Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. Both have some amazing products and work the best out of the three.
Kevyn Aucoin The Making Faces Beauty Book retails for $75 and can be found
