Today I have a look at the NYX California Palette, which features 10 eyeshadows that are inspired by all things about the golden state. There is a good mix of neutral shades and pops of color throughout the palette. Since I have always lived in CA, This palette is fun and I love the names of the eyeshadows. The California palette features the vivid artwork of world-renowned street artist, Hueman. See more swatches below!

The NYX California Palette has eyeshadows that are really pigmented and I love the shade range. Even though there are neutral colors, I have reached more for the shades Golden State, Redwoods, and California Skies. The swatches were done with no primer as usual. I didn't find any of them to be chalky or have too much fall out. The OC and Sandy Beaches are the lightest shades but definitely not too shimmery. Grizzly Bear and Earthquake are the darkest shades and they are pigmented and easy to blend out.

The packaging is great since it is nice and slim which is perfect for traveling. It also comes with a large mirror and the names of the shadows on the back of the palette.

NYX California Palette retails for $20 and can be found on the NYX website.

  1. Good product and greater mix of natural shades and pop colors. I recommend this to my girlfriend, as she loves dark shadows. good stuff.
