Jesse's Girl Cosmetics 9 Pan Eye Shadow Compacts - Swatches and Review

September 27, 2011

If you have a Rite-Aid drugstore in your area, then you know that they sell Jesse's Girl Cosmetics. I have always seen the brand, but never knew much about the company or how good the products were. I own a few nail polishes by them, but this is my first time trying out their eye shadows. I have swatches of the compacts and a review of each one individually.

First one is called Brown Eyed Girl

Let's start off with a favorite. This palette, Brown Eyed Girl, gave amazing pigmentation which I was really excited about. I honestly thought this would be the palette I would like the least, and it ended up being one of my favorites. The fact that all the eyeshadows are shimmery can be great in it's own way. Sometimes I do prefer matte shadows, which I would of liked to see. Especially since you get 9 eye shadows. But I can deal with it. Another thing is the price, that is ridiculous. I mean ridiculous in a good way. These palettes are sold for $3.99! If you see this one at Rite-Aid, I would definitely pick this one up.

Second compact is Tickled Pink

This palette was in between for me. The first four shadows were very light and not very pigmented. Then the last five, were way more pigmented and are pretty colors. It could of been intentional when Jesse's Girl made these palettes, making some more sheer than others. I'm not quite sure, but eyeshadow 3 (in the order of the palette) is really nice. It's like a light shimmery lavender. I like this palette, Tickled Pink, but it wasn't a favorite for me.

Next one is called Behind Blue Eyes

Just like the Tickled Pink palette, the first 4 shadows in Behind Blue Eyes were very sheer, where I had to build on the colors, and the last five were really pigmented. The 2 darkest blue shadows are my favorites from this palette. If you love blue eyeshadow, or just incorporate blue eyeshadow in different looks, then this palette is perfect for you. I don't tend to use a lot of blues, but I would use the lighter shades. I have the same opinion on this one like the Tickled Pink palette.

Lastly, this Eye Shadow Compact is called The Eyes Have It

I started off with a favorite palette and ending this post with another winner. This one might be the number one winner out of the 4 palettes. I love that this palette comes with all different shades of greens, a beautiful blue shadow, and even browns. All of the eye shadows are so pigmented and blend so easily. Pick this one up as soon as you see it. You can do a lot with this palette for Fall. And for only $3.99? Yes, get it! The Eyes Have It, such a fitting name for this one.

So there you have it. I hope this post was helpful to some that may have seen these in their local Rite-Aid and debated on how good they actually are. Now you knows my favorites that are musts, and a few that can be, in my opinion, skipped. All depending on your own judgement.

Let me know in the comments which one you would get!
