Beauty Budget - Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes Review

August 10, 2011

Who else uses makeup wipes on a daily basis? I feel like they are so much more easier and faster to use. I always use the Target brand facial cleansing wipes. They are about $3 and always work really well. I was recently at Walgreens when I was reminded I needed more makeup wipes. I saw these Burt's Bees (Which I had no idea Burt's Bees even made cleansing towelettes) and decided to give them a try. Usually I love everything from Burt's Bees, so I knew with my sensitive skin that they couldn't be that harsh.

Here is how they are described:
Remove make-up, cleanse and tone in one easy step. Infused with White Tea and Cucumber Extracts plus Aloe, these towelettes clean your face naturally. So you can give your skin the care it needs no matter where you are.
  • Removes dirt, oil and make-up without rinsing
  • Formulated with White Tea and Cucumber Extracts
  • Dermatologist-tested and ophthamologist-tested
  • FSC Certified, natural fabric
 My Review:
Okay, first thing you notice is the size of the wipes. They are a decent size, kind of small but enough to take off everything from your face with just one wipe. I also noticed they are stretchy which I like, so I can make sure I use every part of that wipe. The smell is.. I love the smell of these cleansing towelettes! They have a citrus kind of smell, almost lemony. Very fresh! Love that.
As you can read from above, these will remove make up, cleanse, and tone in one step. And I have to say that they do! When I use these wipes, my makeup seems to just melt off. I don't have to wipe my makeup off rigorously, because they are really moist so I don't need to use a lot of pressure. Then once I am done using the wipe, my skin feels slightly tighter than before I used it. Which I know must be the "tone" part of the makeup wipe. So far, everything has been great with these wipes. I don't really have any complaints or anything negative to say. They are that amazing.
So now onto the price. You get 30 wipes for $5.99 and I found them at Walgreens. I personally think it's a great deal and I feel like these are doing more for my skin than the Target wipes would do. So I don't mind paying the $2-3 more dollars for something that I love better. I will definitely be repurchasing more when I run out.

I hope you enjoyed my review!

Let me know if you decide to give these a try and what you think! :)
