China Glaze Poolside Swatches

March 17, 2010

Hey everyone! It has been so hot over here in Cali, and it honestly already feels like summer time. This is the perfect time to be swatching China Glaze Poolside polishes. Now just know, these colors are TRUE neon. Some were a little harder to photograph then others. I always check to see if others were having a little trouble with the photography, and some were. So it's not just me. Alright let's dive right in!

Pool Party
The most gorgeous neon pink! Ever!

Sun Worshiper
This is one of them that was extremely hard to photgraph. It's a bright neon orange, and applying it was kind of streaky and hard to work with. But if you get it right, it's an amazing color.

Towel Boy Toy
A brilliant neon blue. I am so drawn to blue nail polish, and I rarely wear it. I would definitely wear this one everyday if I could.

Kiwi Cool-Ada
Neon green. Way more bright than photographed, but this was as close as I could get.

Yellow Polka Dot Bikini
Another stubborn polish. This one is obviously a neon yellow. It kept photographing dull and almost banana yellow looking, which is what it is NOT even close to. It was not going on like I thought it would. It was another streaky one. You can't tell, but in person you could still see my nails underneath after 4 coats.

Flip Flop Fantasy
This one is a neon coral. My picture came out a little more to the orange side. And the polish is an amazing true coral color.

So in my opinon, the must get polishes out of these are: Pool Party, Towel Toy Boy, and Sun Worshiper. They are so amazing and I love the way they look! The one in the middle is Flip Flip Fantasy, and good one to get also. The one last to the list would be Yellow Polka Dot Bikini. Way too hard to apply and very thin polish.
China Glaze Poolside will launch April 1st, 2010, international and domestic.

So what you think? Which ones jump out at you and say you must own them? Let me know!

Unii Palette Review

March 10, 2010

Hey everyone!
So this review is about palettes called Unii that are new to me that everyone can find useful and that are completely, well, unique. It is an easy to use palette that magnetically holds all your makeup pans from multiple brands. Also included are magnet strips so that you can cut into whatever certain shape you need.

So visit the website! Each palette is $29 with free shipping right now to U.S. and Canada. They also come in 5 different colors: red, blue, yellow, purple, and white. In my opinion, I think they are extremely worth the money because each palette is going to last you and are very handy on the go. Especially if you are building your makeup kit for clientele.

Hope you all enjoyed this review! Please let me know what you think, or if you have any questions feel free to ask =)

Make Up For Ever HD Blush Review

March 5, 2010

Hi everyone! First off, need to apologize for not blogging as much as usual. I have been super busy with family, friends, and well basically life. But now that everything has been resolved, I'm back to blogging!
So here I am back with the Make Up For Ever HD blush review. Overall, this review is in-between. There is good and bad with this blush. I will get into that though.
I got #5 Nip Slip (Neutral Pink):

This blush is being called lip tars for the cheeks. It is extremely pigmented and you don't need a whole pump. Not even half, like 1/3. One bottle could probably last you a good long while. Seriously. Now that's pretty good because you don't have to keep buying the same color, it will last you. Now the downside, is that they are so pigmented, it can be a pain to put on. If you use too much, it looks ridiculous. Another down, is the price. $25 for a blush. I got mine at the show for $15, so I went for it. I don't know if I can really see myself buying more or even all for the price.

Now it's different if we are talking about this product for a makeup kit. I would definitely buy most of these to have in my kit for clients. My own personal makeup stash, probably not. So it just depends on what your buying them for, and what you really want from this blush.

So is it worth trying? Sure. Is it something you must have in your own makeup stash? Probably not a must.

Hope this helps most of you thinking about getting this product! =D
