Covergirl Nudes TruNaked Eyeshadow Palette - Swatches and Review

January 2, 2016

You can never have too many nude eyeshadows and covergirl has three new palettes that have pigmented and long lasting eyeshadows. The 3 new palettes from the TruNaked line are: Goldens, Roses, and Nudes. Each one comes with 8 shades with a mix of mattes and shimmers. See more photos and swatches below!

More information about the Covergirl Nudes TruNaked Eyeshadow Palette:
Covergirl's Nudes TruNaked Eyeshadow Palette has a stunning range of neutral shades for your perfect nude eye look. Richly pigmented shadows in nudes, and in a range of colors and textures - from neutrals to smokys and shimmers to mattes.

In the past, Covergirl eyshadows have not really been some of my favorite drugstore shadows. But with these palettes I feel like they could be going in a better direction. The eyeshadows in this palette were soft and easy to blend. The shimmer shades like Champagne, Mink, and Coffee were pigmented and didn't have a lot of fall out. Buff is a good highlight shade and Fawn and Cocoa were great matte colors. I had some trouble with Sable being a bit chalky and taking some time to build up. Shell was the only shade that really lacked for me, since it hardly showed up when doing the swatches and on my eyelids.

It claims to have "Shades like a leading $50 eye shadow palette". If I was to compare this to an Urban Decay palette or a Too Faced Palette, I don't think I could say they are so close. There are definitely some shades that are comparable and are long lasting just like those in a more expensive palette. Only 2 out of the 8 shades were not that great and the rest were about what I was expecting.

Overall, I think this eyeshadow palette is good quality and for about $12 it is worth the price.

Covergirl Nudes TruNaked Eyeshadow Palette retails for $11.99 and can be found at Ulta, Walgreens, CVS, and other retail stores.
