Play Beautifully with e.l.f. Cosmetics - Swatches and Review

October 9, 2015

Today I have a look at a few e.l.f. Cosmetics that are great to use everyday and are always affordable. After swatching and trying them all, I was happy to see that they are pretty good quality products. The e.l.f. Lip Balm I wasn't able to try since it ended up getting melted from the heat, but everything else I have reviews of. I have a few favorites, but overall they all ended up being products I can incorporate into my everyday makeup looks. Find out more on these below!

e.l.f. Cosmetics Essential Flawless Eyeshadow in Tantalizing Taupe ($2) - I really loved these four eyeshadows and how well they blended out. They were soft but still had enough pigment to them to build them up a bit. I expected them to be chalky and not very good but it ended up being the opposite. I would probably get another one of these with different shades since the three brown shades were kind of too similar, but other than that I enjoyed this palette.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Studio Eyeliner and Shadow Stick ($3) - This is double-sided stick that comes with an eyeliner and a shadow. The shadow was creamy and pigmented but did smear some without an eyeshadow base. The base made the difference and helped the shadow to stay put. The liner was dark, easy to apply and didn't drag on the waterline.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Studio Matte Lip Color in Wine ($3) - It really blew me away at how amazing it was! This Matte Lip Color was very pigmented and it was even moisturizing. I really thought it was going to dry out my lips and the color was going to be uneven. The color lasted hours and my lips stayed hydrated the entire time I had this color on. I was very pleased with how this worked.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Studio Perfect Finish HD Powder ($6) - This is a great finishing powder that helps to keep makeup in place all day. I do like to use finishing powders but I don't like when they make my skin look dry. I didn't have that problem with this one. It didn't settle into any lines and it made my makeup last all day until I took it off. It also helps to reduce shine and mattifies the skin.

e.l.f. Cosmetics can be found on their website and in various retail stores.

  1. wow the essential eyeshadows does surprisingly looks good! I always thought the essential lines are not as good as the studio one. I really want to try the matte lipstick and the setting powder too :)
