e.l.f. Studio Everyday Smoky Eyeshadow Palette - Swatches and Review

October 25, 2015

e.l.f. Cosmetics has a lot of new products out right now and I recently was able to try one of their new studio eyeshadow palettes. The Studio Everyday Smoky Eyeshadow Palette comes with 10 shadows that range from matte to shimmery shades. For $10, most of the shadows are pigmented and easy to blend. Swatches and more below!

More information about the e.l.f. Studio Everyday Smoky Palette:
Achieve both beautifully bold or subtle everyday eye looks with these perfectly curated 10 smoky eyeshadow shades. This collection of hues is ideal for shading, highlighting, and defining the eyes. These silky-smooth shadows can be used as a liner, on the lid, and in the crease of the eye for an expertly contoured and blended look.
The packaging is sturdy and it even comes with a mirror which is good to have if I ever wanted to travel with this. All of the eyeshadows are easy to blend, only the fourth shade from the left lacked in pigmentation and was a bit chalky. The third shade was the only one that had fall out and was really glittery. The darker shades were easy to build up and doing a smoky look was simple with this palette. It is a good idea to use an eyeshadow primer just to make sure the shadows are going to last and not crease throughout the day.

What’s great about this palette is you can use the eyeshadows dry or wet. My swatches were done dry so that you can see the color payoff if you were to use them for a subtle everyday look. I tried these wet and it helped the darker shades to be more bold, but didn’t make a big difference in the lighter shades. I used the e.l.f. Crease Brush which has soft bristles and I loved the way it worked with the eyeshadows.

e.l.f Cosmetics Everyday Smoky Eyeshadow Palette retails for $10 and can be found on the e.l.f. website.
