Today I have a look at the new Maybelline The Brights Eyeshadow Palette. This is in addition to the Smokes and Nudes palettes that are also out right now. I ended up buying this at Target and the shades seem to be bright but also wearable. See swatches and my review below!
The eyeshadows are not super pigmented, but they ended up applying with ease and I definitely needed to use an eyeshadow primer. The only shadows that I had trouble with, were the two first shadows in the bottom row. The purple and black were a little chalky and didn’t want to cooperate. That can be expected though, and it was only two shades out of the 12 that are in the palette.
The eyeshadows, with a base, ended up lasting throughout the day without creasing. I have Maybelline The Nudes palette and the shadows seem to be pretty consistent in both palettes dealing with lasting power. They aren’t the most pigmented shadow out there, but I do like the range of shade options offered in The Brights palette. For being an eyeshadow palette that is supposed to have bright colors, they aren't as bright as I expected. This is one you will have to decide for yourself if you want it by the swatches.
Maybelline The Brights Palette retails for $12.99 and can be found at Target and other various retail stores.
