Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Enticing - Photos and Review

November 4, 2013

I was excited to find these new Revlon balms at Rite Aid a couple of weeks ago. I have a bunch of the original Revlon Balm Stains and seeing that they came out with matte and lacquer balms was interesting. I knew I had to at least try one of each finish. This post will focus on the Revlon Lacquer balm in Enticing. See more photos and my review below!

I pretty much prefer the Revlon lacquer balm vs. the matte balms. I would rather have a glossy/shiny finish then completely matte, and that's just personal preference. This balm has a nice minty smell and it wasn't too strong. It glided on easily and this shade was quite pigmented. I actually shocked myself by buying a red shade when I normally go for the nude or more neutral shades. I hardly ever wear a red lip color but this one was so comfortable, I could see myself getting a lot of use out of it.

The one thing I did notice was that it wasn't giving me as much shine or gloss as I expected. There was some shine, but not as much as I expected since it's called "lacquer balm". Other than that, this had a good formula and I'm happy with the shade as well. Another thing I love about these is the packaging. Just like the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains, this is a twist up pencil so you don't need a sharpener.

Recommend? Yes! They have a great formula and pigmented enough to last throughout the day.

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm retail for $8.99 each and can be found at Rite-Aid and other drugstores.

Let me know what you think!
