I finally finished the sample ...Just a follow up... I finally finished the sample and got 3 days out of it. I liked it fine, but honestly I could not tell it was any better than what I currently use. It does not tolerate sweat though and came off around my nose in patches. The worst part was like it melted and I had smudges and streaks and almost little dried puddles for lack of a better descriptor from where my glasses sit on my nose. It had run and settled and was horrid. It was as if the foundation floated on the tiny beads of perspiration and then dried again in a different place. I work in a hospital and often have to wear a mask and gown over my uniform so it can get really hot and quite overheated fast. Before my work day was through, my makeup looked patchy and it didn't look good at all. It was so bad that I did have to actually take my fingers and fix what I could trying to even it back out from where it had run beneath my glasses and around my nose. I had the same assignment yesterday and used my regular old drugstore foundation and even though it had a little patchiness at the end of 13 hours, it wasn't nearly as bad, it didn't require a fix as it wasn't noticeably off like the NARS so my conclusion is it isn't any better or different and I certainly didn't see or feel $48 worth of difference so I think I am going to stick with my $11-13 dollar cosmetics instead. I really wanted to fall in love with this but I didn't. I can always go back and get more samples if I have a special occasion and want to feel fancy with my expensive makeup. Is it just me, or do you feel more like a princess or royalty with when you wear high end makeup? Because you know it's expensive so you feel pampered? Even though it really isn't any better than the cheapie stuff? It's a mind game.Cindinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3341195661233272152.post-75420268824156927322015-04-24T18:47:28.311-07:002015-04-24T18:47:28.311-07:00I definitely understand what you mean. I have been using it only more for special occasions and not just an everyday product since it is expensive.aquaheartnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3341195661233272152.post-42326486731147292722015-04-21T19:02:02.959-07:002015-04-21T19:02:02.959-07:00I have a generous sample size in the shade Deauxvi...I have a generous sample size in the shade Deauxville that they gave me to try out the other day and have only worn it once so far. I used my makeup sponge as I didn't like the way it applied using my fingers and I wanted to blend it into my skin. I liked the lightweight coverage and seeing my freckles through it and the way it felt light and comfortable. It didn't leave me feeling like my makeup was going to rub off either like pan/stick makeup does. While I like it and had no complaints over my 1 day trial run, I cant say that I was wowed either and couldn't see any difference in performance or feel over my current foundations (Sleek, L'Oreal, Revlon) but I liked it soo much better than my Rimmel London or Maybelline. But like I said I've only worn it once so far. I did like the light/medium more natural coverage though. I just don't know that it is worth the higher price since it didn't make me say Wow.Cindinoreply@blogger.com
