Today I have some swatches of a few products that are similar but are definitely needed for spring. The two come in stick form and can easily give your makeup look some color on the cheeks. I love these kind of products because they are really easy to apply, blend in, and they last all day. These are also ideal to travel with or carry in your purse to touch up throughout the day. Find out more about these and see swatches below.
The Pixi Beauty MultiBalm ($12) is a 2-in-1 cheek and lip color stick. It has a cream to powder formula and is very pigmented. The stick glides on pretty easy but still has a bit of stiffness. I blended it out with my fingers and didn't really need to use a brush. This lasted on me all day long without having to touch it up. It is infused with Aloe Vera, Shea Butter, and Rose Hip Oil to protect. You can use this on the lips which is great if I'm in a hurry or it's the only product I have on me. I prefer to use these kind of stick product on my cheeks only. The Pixi MultiBalm comes in 5 different shades and the one I have is called Soft Strawberry.
This might seem like the same thing as the Pixi MulitBalm, but the NYX Illuminating Stick ($8) has it's own great qualities. This gives more of a glowy finish and has a more smoother glide to it when applying. I love how pigmented it is and how long it lasts on the skin. I didn't find this to fade or move throughout the day. The NYX Illuminating stick comes in 12 shades: 4 highlighting, 4 blushes, and 4 bronzers. This is one of the blush shades and it's called Rose Petal Pop.
So overall, both the Pixi and NYX are great quality and have amazing formulas. I can't really say one is better than the other because they both have their positives. If I was going to pick one, I would choose the NYX since there are more shades to choose from and the price is a bit lower than the Pixi. They are just two products you can choose from that are going to make your spring looks pop with color in a simple way.
