It's almost starting to feel like fall so I decided that I need more dark lipsticks shades and e.l.f. had some that they came out with recently. The four shades I bought online are: Bordeaux Beauty, Black Berry, Marsala Blush, and Berry Kiss. The swatches didn't come out as pigmented as I expected but I still think these are good quality and you can't go wrong with the low price. See more photos below!
More information about the e.l.f. Moisturizing Lipsticks:
The velvety, satin texture glides on lips with vibrant color and luminous shine. Enriched with Shea and Vitamins A, C, & E to nourish and hydrate the lips. The rich, creamy formula seals in moisture for long-lasting wear and comfort.
As you can see from the swatches, these aren't crazy pigmented but most of them do have enough color when wearing on the lips. Berry Kiss lacked on doing anything on my lips but Marsala Blush was pigmented and a gorgeous color to wear as an everyday shade. Bordeaux Beauty and Black Berry needed to be worked with a little more to get the color to look even but they did come out the way I expected.
These are supposed to be moisturizing lipsticks, so were they? I found them to keep my lips moisturized throughout the day but not anymore than they already were. They didn't really add any moisture or hydration but the lipsticks weren't uncomfortable or terrible to wear either. I would say just a standard lipstick that lasted for a few hours before I needed to reapply.
Sometimes I'm looking for something I can put on quickly that will give my lips some color and these have been great for that. Berry Kiss would be a skip for me, but the other three were good.
e.l.f. Cosmetics Moisturizing Lipsticks retail for $3 each and can be found online, Target stores, and other various retail stores.
