Tarte Cosmetics Empower Flower Amazonian Clay Collector's Palette - Swatches and Review

April 24, 2015

Today I have a closer look and swatches of a new palette from Tarte. Empower Flower Collectors Palette comes with 8 eyeshadows, 2 blushes and a bronzer. I thought it was a great deal since I know their eyeshadows and blushes are always great quality. This is a Sephora exclusive palette and it also comes with a good size mirror on the inside of the lid. See swatches and find out my thoughts below!

More information on the Tarte Cosmetics Empower Flower Amazonian Clay Collector's Palette:
Achieve a polished, glowing look with this chic, eye and cheek palette, featuring eight all-new, wearable eyeshadows, along with a trio of warm, complexion-flattering blushes and a bronzer. The exclusive palette includes a blend of liner, lid, crease, and highlighting shadows, empowering you to play up your look from daytime to playtime. Infused with tarte’s breakthrough ingredient Amazonian clay, each formula creates for better, longer, and truer wear and comes in a pretty, ultra-thin palette that’s easily versatile—taking your makeup looks from brunch to the office.

I was excited to try out a new palette from Tarte and I have to say that after I did, this didn’t really live up to what I was expecting. Don’t get me wrong, the eyeshadows in this palette are pigmented and gorgeous. I really loved the colors since they were neutral and they were smooth and not chalky at all. The packaging was another thing I really liked. I love that it’s quite sturdy and the mirror is big enough that I could use it if I took this with me for travel.

The down side to this palette was the other side of it. The two blushes and the bronzer were not very pigmented at all. I had to pick up a lot of product in order to get it to show up on my skin. I was really hoping the three cheek shades were going to be better than the eyeshadows so that this palette would of been worth it. But that just wasn’t the case. The blushes and bronzer were lacking in the pigment department and I was disappointed. I was back and forth on this, because I love the eyeshadows just not so much the blushes and bronzer.

Tarte Cosmetics Empower Flower Amazonian Clay Collectors Palette retails for $42 and can be found exclusively at Sephora. This is limited edition.

Let me know your thoughts!

  1. That's so strange for Tarte, their Amazonian Clay blushes are usually very pigmented!

  2. I know! Maybe I was just expecting more pop of color than shimmer?

  3. The packaging is adorable and I love having these all in one palettes for travel. I wasn't impressed with the swatches above, they seemed so sheer and so meh. Pretty colors but it's just a natural look and no color to make your eyes pop, Not one single Wow shade. This is just meh and boring overall.
