Maybelline Volum’ Express Pumped Up! Colossal Mascara in Classic Black - Photos and Review

Another day, another mascara! This is a new mascara from Maybelline which I ended up finding at Walmart. What was shocking was that my Walmart actually had something new in the makeup department. Find out what I think about this new Volum’ Express mascara from Maybelline below!

The first double curved stem for an extra shot of volume. Scoops up an extra shot of plumping collagen formula in every stroke.
My lashes with just one coat of mascara!
When I’m looking for a new mascara, there are many things I am thinking about. Will this hold curl for my stick straight lashes? Will it make my lashes more volumized without looking clumpy? How about length? This mascara has been one of the best Maybelline mascaras that I have used. As you can see in the picture above, my lashes are separated, volumized, and have length. Did the mascara hold my curl? All day! Shocking I know! I kept checking to see if my lashes were falling or straight and they looked good even by the end of the day.

I ended up using one coat of mascara which seemed to be enough. At first, I was concerned about the formula being too wet. I applied one coat, let my lashes dry, and then applied a second coat which worked out the best. I really only did a second coat to see if that would make them clump up, but it didn’t. I prefer to use one coat and I’m done.

I recommend this mascara and my lashes were definitely pumped up!

Maybelline Volum’ Express Pumped Up! Colossal Mascara retails for $5.49 (price will vary) and can be found at retail stores.

Let me know if you will give this mascara a try!

  1. What moisturizer do you use? I have dry skin too and I've been looking for a new moisturizer. Also, how long do you roughly think the dermalogica hydrating booster will last?
