Chanel CC Cream Complete Correction Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Beige - Review

January 19, 2014

Today I have a review of the Chanel CC Cream. I bought this online a while ago and I wasn't sure how it was going to be. Chanel has some amazing products, but they are also expensive. I was hoping since I bought it online that I wasn't going to regret it once I tried it. Find out more and my thoughts on the Chanel CC Cream below!

More info about the Chanel CC Cream:
The expertise of Chanel Research meets the artistry of the Chanel Makeup Studio in a fusion of skincare and makeup. The lightweight, blendable texture creates a fresh, flawless complexion while nourishing and protecting skin.

There is a fragrance to this CC Cream this is quite strong. It’s more of a fresh/floral smell than a heavy or fruity smell. I noticed that as I was applying the cream, my allergies started to flare up just a bit. I’m usually allergic to strong fragrances which makes my nose run and I start to sneeze. It wasn’t like an allergic attack or anything, but I sneeze a bit and I thought I would mention it. I have sensitive skin and I didn’t have any reaction to the actual cream, only the fragrance.

Once the CC cream was applied and had time to set on my skin, the smell went away and I had no trouble with my allergies after. Since this is quite light and more yellow, I used this as more of a primer then by itself. It worked great as a base for the rest of my face makeup and kept my skin smooth and soft throughout the day. I did notice that it made my face look more even than before. It’s also a plus that it has SPF 30 since the sun can be damaging, especially here in Los angeles. I also notice that a little goes a long way. I only squeezed a small amount out and it was enough for my entire face. So, since this is an expensive product, it's nice to know that your not going to run out of it for a while. And plus I don't use this everyday. I use it when I just want to make sure my skin is smooth and I'm not really making a huge effort with my makeup.

Would I buy this again? I don't feel like it's a must have for me, but I do enjoy it and will use up the one that I have. The only thing that makes me not want to buy it again, is the fragrance. I wish it wasn't as strong and that I wasn't allergic to it.  But I do like the results that I get from the actual CC cream. If I had the extra money to splurge and I ran out, then I would buy it again.

Chanel CC Cream Complete Correction Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Beige retails for $55 and can be found online.

Let me know what you think!

  1. I haven't tried CC creams yet. But I think that since my skin is combination oily, I don't know if it's a good idea for me.
