Revlon Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector in Light/Medium - First Impressions and Photos

January 4, 2013

This is my second review of a drugstore BB cream. This is a new BB cream from Revlon that looked like something I would enjoy. I personally like the way BB creams feel and look on my skin more than a heavy foundation. There have been so many BB creams out there that some are not a REAL BB cream. A BB cream is supposed to be an all-in-one product to replace serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock. Also, everyone will have a different opinion on a face product like this because everyone's skin is different. See my thoughts below.

I have the BB cream on my face and nothing else.
More info on the Revlon BB cream from their website:
A lightweight, multi-benefit Beauty Balm that combines skincare, makeup, and sunscreen into one step.
- HYDRATES like moisturizer
- SMOOTHES like primer
- COVERS like foundation
- BLURS FLAWS like concealer
- PROTECTS with SPF 30 like sunscreen

I've been using this for a week so I can't give a full review just yet. I can however, let you know my first impressions and what I think so far. I have been loving this BB cream! I've heard mixed reviews from different people loving it or hating it. For me, it has been looking and feeling great on my skin. It really evens out my skin tone and has been lasting as long as if I had a foundation on.

One thing I didn't like was when I first applied it. It felt a bit sticky once blended into my skin, but once it dried that went away. It says on the Revlon website that you can wear this over your regular skin care products for the extra moisture which is what I do. I have dry/normal skin so I need the added moisture. So far I can say that I recommend this BB cream. I will be doing an updated post or update this actual post in a few weeks to see if I still enjoy it.

Revlon Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector retails for $12.49 and can be found at CVS Pharmacy.

Let me know is this is a BB cream you would try!

  1. I haven't try any drugstore BB cream yet cause like you said some of them aren't the BB cream. A lot of ppl stated that the drugstore BB creams are like a tinted moisture texture. From the swatch I'm seeing on your post this cream looks pretty promising and thick. I would like to try but I have too many BB creams that I'm still currently using. I'm using the Bobbi Brown BB cream currently, very promising and very hydrating at the same time.

This sounds like a great bb cream. I think I may want to give this a try.
