March Of Dimes March For Babies

I will be participating with March of Dimes this year and March for Babies on Sunday April 29, 2012. This is a very personal cause to my heart, being that my daughter was born premature almost 4 years ago. I will be walking with my best friend and I'm excited to be participating in something that can truly make a difference in these babies lives. 

Here is a little back story on my daughter Laila. I ended up developing Preeclampsia. I had High Blood Pressure before I was pregnant, so I was high risk right from the start. Preeclampsia is defined as high blood pressure and excess protein in the urine after 20 weeks of pregnancy. I was 28 weeks and ended up having my daughter 2 months early by emergency C-Section. She was born at 2 pounds, 14 ounces. Everyday that she was in the NICU was a complete roller coaster. One day she would progress better, the next a fall back. After 2 months of being in the NICU, she was able to come home at 5 pounds. Everyday was a struggle and a challenge, but she made it through completely healthy. She is a miracle and very lucky considering what can happen from being premature.

Wet N Wild Be Jeweled Limited Edition Nail Collection - Swatches

I recently found this Wet N Wild Be Jeweled collection at a local Rite Aid and couldn't resist getting them. The only one they ran out of was Born to Privilege, so I couldn't get my hands on it. I have the other four, and they are just as gorgeous swatched as they are looking at them in the bottles.

Revlon Gucci Westman Escapism Summer 2012 Collection - Colorburst Lipgloss Swatches

You guys should know by now that I am a sucker for these Revlon Colorburst lipglosses. I have so many that when I see new ones, I must have them! These colors are from the Revlon Gucci Westman Escapism collection. I don't believe these lipglosses are limited edition, so that's a relief that everyone will be able to find them at a local drugstore at any time. There are 4 new glosses, and I have 3 swatches to share with you today.

AVON Ultra Color Rich Lipsticks - Enchanted Spring 2012 Shades

Today I have swatches of these new lipsticks from AVON and their Spring 2012 Enchanted collection. I was really interested in the bright colors and to see how great they would actually be. I have never tried any lipsticks from Avon, so this was my first time trying out their formula. There is one other nude shade in addition to these, that I didn't end up buying. Were these as pigmented as I had hoped? How was the wear? We will see below!

This NOTD was exciting to do and participate with other nail bloggers. You have probably seen this kind of nail art recently from a company, that I will not name, claiming to have created this look themselves. They didn't and are making a stink about it to bloggers that have done it themselves with cheaper alternatives. I will link to other nail bloggers below that know more about details than I do. I wanted to support these nail bloggers that have created "Fish Egg Friday", showing how everyone can DIY this easy and simple nail look.

Benefit Cosmetics Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow! Foundation Review

Trying to find a foundation that is almost tailored to your skin can be a challenge to find. Be wowed with Benefit's new hello flawless oxygen wow! liquid foundation. This is a light weight, oil-free brightening foundation that builds from light to medium coverage. I ended up buying shade "Cheers to Me" Champagne. I don't like foundation to be heavy or thick in consistency, so I thought this would be a good foundation for my needs and what I was looking for.

Senna Cosmetics Totally Transforming Eyeshadow Primer Review

Today I have a review of Senna Cosmetics Eyeshadow Primer. I use eye primer on a daily basis so having a good one that works for you is key. I tend to stick with Too Faced Shadow Insurance as my go-to primer. Once I tried this one by Senna, I knew that this was going to be something I could use to make my eyeshadow more vibrant. NOTD - Revlon Runway Pearl

Today's NOTD is featuring Revlon Runway Pearl nail polish. This is a new limited edition color that I heard is inspired by a Chanel polish. Usually Revlon will come out with Chanel dupes (like Revlon Perplex) and I'm pretty sure this is another. 

I almost passed on this polish because it just looked too light in the bottle. Once I tried it on at home, I couldn't stop staring at my nails. I love the pinkish duo chrome that it has. It makes the polish look sheer, yet gives it something unique when you it in the light or the sun. I ended up buying this at CVS for $4.99.

Overview - A is for ALDO Fragrance Collection For Her

I go to Aldo stores for the most obvious reason, shoes! But did you know in addition to their super cute shoes (also purses and accessories), you can find fragrance there? Yep, they are called A is for ALDO. These have actually been out for about 4 months now and I have to say I didn't hear about these until recently. I'm not a perfume "expert" at reviewing, so I'm just going to give the descriptions of each one, and then my general opinion on which I favor among the three.
