Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss in 260 Always Autumn - Swatch and Review

December 18, 2012

A few weeks ago, I got a package from Covergirl challenging me to try out their Nail Gloss and see if it would last 7 days. These nail polishes are a new formula that combine base coat, high gloss color, and a chip-resistant top coat all in one. I decided to take on the challenge! See below on how it went.

Day 1

Day 7
This is color 260 Always Autumn. I was really impressed by how long the nail polish lasted. The first day that I applied it, it came out as if I went to get my nails done at a nail salon. High shine with no base or top coat! By day 7 the polish was dull but I had minimal chipping which was amazing. It was mostly growth from my nails that was showing. The chipping didn't happen until day 6. I definitely like how you can use these polishes and you don't need a top coat. These are also really fast drying. It only took less than 3 minutes for my nails to be dry. That saves me from waiting forever for my nail polish to dry.

So was the challenge completed? I would say so! I still had chipping but very minimal. The challenge was barely completed. The mani probably wouldn't have lasted after 7 days. But a nail polish lasting for a week with no top coat? Pretty good! I have already bought a few more colors which I will post in future NOTD posts. Great job from Covergirl!

Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss retail for $4.99 each and can be found where Covergirl is sold.

Let me know what you think! Have you tried these?

  1. OK, that's pretty amazing. I'd be lucky to make it to the end of day one with my nails looking like that, let alone 7 days!

  4. Fantastic! I hate spending hard earned cash and spending time only to have my polish chip and look ugly the next day. I picked up a couple of these colors but haven't had a chance to try them out yet. The pink shades I got though are going to make a cute Valentine's mani.
