Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips in Animal Instinct - Review

June 6, 2012

Today I have a review of the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Strips. You will probably remember I got these from my Influenster Spring Beauty VoxBox. I wasn't too fond of the design at first, but I love the way it looked on my nails. This is the first time I have ever tried these, so I was excited to try them out. Did they last? Were they easy to apply? Read on!

Everything that is included. Strips, nail file, cuticle pusher, and instructions.
Sally Hansen Describes these as:
Sally Knows nails are the best accessory. Now, Sally makes it easy to get a salon effect any time, any place. It wears like nail polish because it IS nail polish. No dry time, so you’re ready to go.
 No dry time
Lasts up to 10 days
Removes easily with nail polish remover
40 must-have styles
Applying these nail strips were very easy and I had no problems with the fit or shaping them. Once applied I did not put a top coat, since I wanted to see how they would wear each day. They lasted for a good week for me. No chipping at all, and my nails were actually growing out by the time I took them off on day 7. They were easy to remove with nail polish remover and I had no damage caused by the strips. Overall, I really did enjoy these and would buy them on my own. Which I actually have already, a design I will feature in a different post.

Available at chain drug stores, food stores and mass merchandisers nationally.
Suggested Retail Price: $9.99

Have you tried these? What do you think?

  1. I keep checking them out then walking away, I always seem to mess up the easiest things:)

  2. You seem to have had far better luck then I did with them - mine only lasted about three days and for the price i'd rather stick with traditional nail polishes.

  3. I so need to try these! I tried the Nail Bling brand, and they were really good, now I want to try the SH ones!
