Wet N Wild ColorIcon Bronzer in Bikini Contest - Swatch and Review

May 21, 2012

This bronzer is one of three that came out for Spring from Wet N Wild. This is one of the darker shades and has a bit of shimmer in it. I use a Tarte blush right now to contour, since it's dark enough to use as a bronzer. I hit pan on it now, so I'm hoping I could possibly use this one as a cheaper alternative. How was it? Read on!

This bronzer is really pigmented and very easy to blend. I used a big fluffy brush because you can pick up way too much with a smaller more precise brush. I really love the color of this one, matches my skin tone very well. Now I wanted this to be an alternative product to my Tarte blush, which they are actually pretty close in color. The only thing is that this bronzer doesn't last as long as my Tarte blush. It will last for about 4 hours and then starts to fade some. The Tarte blush will last all day until I take it off with a makeup wipe.

So do I recommend it? Yes, for the price and quality, you can't really go wrong.

Have you seen these Wet N Wild Bronzers in store? Let me know what you think!

  1. I really wish there were more matte, red-based bronzers in the mass market category (think Estee Lauder original Bronze Goddess). Shimmery bronzers ruin the illusion for me, and we all know what a danger yellow/orange bronzers can be! I love red tones in bronzers for almost all skin tones because it perfectly mimics sun-kissed glow! Can you think of any that fit this description?
