Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color in Red-y Response

May 16, 2012

Finally found the Sally Hansen magnetic polishes at my local Target recently. I was excited to try it out and see how good it would actually work. I've never tried any other brand of magnetic polishes so this one was my first. Also, I ended up buying only one, in case it didn't work, was bad quality, or I just hated it. Did I love it or hate it? Read on.

Sally Hansen says:
3-D Nail Art in Seconds! Revolutionary formula infused with metallic particles that move when exposed to the specially designed magnet to create an extraordinary effect.
I'm actually surprised to say that I love it! First off, I suck at anything that has to do with nail art. I just can't do it for the life of me. So when I used this it was so simple and it gave my nails an awesome effect. The formula is also great. For some reason my pinky came out the best. This was pre clean up, so sorry it looks a bit sloppy. I think I was so excited to try it I just look pictures right away.

I bought this for $8.99 and there are 7 other colors available. Do I plan on buying other colors? Most likely one or two, but not all of them. I can't keep hoarding nail polish, I have no room. Haha!
P.S. I had posted this on my Instagram where I post beauty related pictures (and random ones) before the actual post on here. You can follow me on Instagram at aquaheart if you wish. :)

What do you think of magnetic nail polishes? Love them or hate them? Let me know what you think!

  2. Ugh I wish I would have seen this earlier! I bought the nails inc red magnet polish for $16 and it sucks! I cannot get the design to show up at all! I'm probably going to return it and will pick this one up! Looks great! :)

  5. This looks very nice on you! I saw these nail polishes many times in the stores, the idea intrigued me but in the ad they looked kinda tacky! Now I want to try them too :)

  6. Like you, I too suck at nail art but found this magnetic polish very simply. I just wish there was more of a variety of colors available. It was well worth the $8.99, that I spent. I just love the effects that this polish gives off when you move your hands, its as if the waves move (like a halographic image) pretty neat.
