Conair You Wrap & Wave Review and Giveaway

I always thought a wave/curling iron would be a complete waste for me to even try out, let alone buy one. My hair is naturally wavy (and thick), so how would one of these come in handy for me? Well, it did and I'm going to tell you how. My waves are definitely not all the same. Some of my hair is more wavy like a "S" pattern. Other parts of my hair are slightly wavy with no pattern to it at all. This iron helped my hair come all together and made my waves super shiny and more smooth.

Here is more info on the Conair Wrap & Wave:
Unique 2-barrel ceramic styler
Creates a range of curl styles and adds volume
Tourmaline Ceramic technology prevents hot spots, reduces frizz and helps eliminate static
Ultra-high heat 400°F/205°C
30-second instant heat
LED indicator lights
Automatic shutoff
Heat protective glove included
Limited five-year warranty
I kept thinking since my hair is so thick, I would need to put it on the highest setting. Which I normally do when I use heat products. I tried it on the lowest setting at first, just to see if it would even work. Surprisingly, I had to leave it on the lowest which was 310 degrees. Amazing. I was completely shocked the more I kept using it. My hair was looking. Normal. And not scattered everywhere like usual.
Side by side comparison: My normal hair on the left, Hair done with You Wrap & Wave on the right.
See how much of a difference it made? I love this iron! I would never do anything to my hair because it would usually take me way too long to straighten or curl. Now I use this every morning, and it takes me about 10-15 minutes to finish all of my hair. It's incredible.
I also love how you can make different curl patterns depending on the way use the two barrels. You can make "S" waves, Oval waves, and Spiral curls. So far I have only done "S" waves, since I'm following the pattern of my hair already.

So that was my experience with the Wrap & Wave by Conair. Now, I get to give one away to a lucky reader!

Wet N Wild Dream Weavers Color IconTrios - Swatches and Review

Yes, I finally found the WNW Dream Weavers collection at my local Rite Aid. I was super excited! The only one they didn't have was "Enter A New Realm" with the red, black, and silver shadow. Still, to get 5 out of the 6 was well worth it, and I'm pretty happy with all of them. These are all swatched with no base, just the shadows themselves. Let's jump right into each one.

WNW Color Icon Trio in We're Blasting Off
I love the colors in this trio. The pink was kind of light, but if you build on it and use a good base it should be fine. All of these colors are something I would use on an everyday basis. I'm hoping to do a FOTD/EOTD this week or next week with this trio.

WNW Color Icon Trio in Fly Me To The Moon
OMG. The blue is this trio is beyond amazing. Look at it! And that has no base, just the shadow on its own. Love it. This one is definitely worth getting if you find this collection. Not one to pass up. All of the shadows are great, just the blue is SO gorgeous.

WNW Color Icon Trio in Dancing In The Clouds
My favorite trio of them all I think. Only thing was the purple color that bothered me at first. It was not that pigmented, and I had to swatch it many times in order for it to come out for the photo. But, I do like the fast that since it is the "crease" color, that it will be easier to use than if it was heavily pigmented. So I prefer it the way it is. I can't wait to use this one for a look!

WNW Color Icon Trio in Bright Idea
This was a bright idea indeed. The colors look very light in the picture above, but I feel like my camera washed them out a bit. In person, they were more vibrant and brighter. Definitely the yellow and pink were. I do like this trio, I'm not totally in love with it. But I'm glad I picked it up.

WNW Color Icon Trio in Earth Looks Small From Down Here
Um. Can I just say my all-time favorite trio is this one?! Amazing! I love love that green eyeshadow, it's so gorgeous. Not only that one though, the whole trio as one is great. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one, I'm so happy my store still had it.

Have you seen this collection? Which ones are you wanting?

P.S. Also, I bought a few to giveaway on my Facebook Fan Page for Freebie Friday. THIS Friday the 29th. So if you are wanting a chance to win a few, make sure you check my page! :)

Swatches - China Glaze Crackle Glaze Metals in Oxidized Aqua and Tarnished Gold

I have two of the new CG Crackle Glaze Metals swatched on top of a few different nail polishes for you today. The blue is a deep aquamarine, and the gold is a warm honey gold as described by China Glaze. I absolutely love these two colors, they look amazing! I used the same 6 nail polish bases for both crackles.
I love the gold a bit more than the blue, but the blue is still great. There are 6 colors available from the collection. Also, they came out for Summer, but I feel like these can be carried out into Fall since they are Metallics. I need to check my local Sally's for the rest of the collection.

Let me know what you think! Did you pick up any of these China Glaze Metals?

NOTD - Sinful Colors Adventure Island

I saw the Sinful Colors Adventure Island display at Rite Aid about 3 days ago and decided I only needed one color from the collection: Adventure Island. Haha. At first, I was so ready to pass it up. I kept thinking it was a weird looking green color. Yet, I figured it looked so different than anything I own, I would get it. SO glad I did! I love it much more now!

Added Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure. Sorry, it's hard to tell.
It looks way prettier in person, I promise. Haha. It was hard for me to get a good picture. Anyways, I hope you liked this post and if you see this SC collection, get this color! :)

N.Y.C. Color Cosmetics Sparkle Eye Dust in Sunkissed Sand Review

N.Y.C. Color Cosmetics has their Summer collection out and I picked up this Sparkle Eye Dust right when I saw the display. There are two eye dust colors that are available, in Topaz Shimmer and Sunkissed Sand. I decided to go with the more bronze gold type color since it seemed more of a "go-to" eyeshadow. The packaging that these eye dusts are in, are completely different.

Here is how the eye dusts are described on the N.Y.C. website:
This unique pot and ingenious built-in brush are the perfect duo for professional application wherever you are. Its ultra soft formula, which is highly concentrated in multi-reflective pearls, creates maximum iridescence, for a shimmering look that lasts.
Here is the color quickly swept on my eyelid:
Here is how it looks inside.
They are definitely unique indeed. The built-in brush caught me off guard, I had no idea there was a brush inside. You are supposed to shake it up, open it, take the brush out, and it will have the eyeshadow on it already. After using this quite a few times, I have to say that I can't get used to the brush. It feels stiff and not that pleasant on my eyelids. It's kind of scratchy and doesn't apply the shadow very well. I had to use my own brush which made the shadow show up way better. I feel like for the amazing price, $3.99, they are something that are very interesting. Would I buy it again or in another color? No, probably not. I just can't get used to the packaging.

So there is my review. Let me know what you think!

Review - NYX Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Sierra

Since these NYX Matte Lipsticks are fairly new, I figured I would review this one that I have in the color Sierra. I don't wear matte lipsticks a lot, I kind of have to be in the mood for them. Plus my lips tend to be on the dry side all the time no matter what I do, so I try to avoid them.

Here is how they are described on the NYX website:
NYX Matte Lipsticks are highly pigmented, richly formulated lipsticks that glide on smoothly, stay put and impart a non-glossy, high-fashion matte finish as they envelop lips in brilliant color. From Pure Red to Nude, Matte Lipstick is available in 22 rich, shades.

Here is the color Sierra
Picture of color from NYX website.
 My Review:
This lipstick is definitely well pigmented. I didn't have to use a lot or keep building the color which was great. Only a few swipes and I was good to go. It's a matte lipstick, so of course it looked drying on lips being a matte lipstick, but it didn't seem to really sink into my lips like some matte lipsticks can. Where they end up showing every single line in your lips. Matte lipsticks personally bother me, I have no idea why. I like them and then I don't. It's a weird relationship. Haha. I do want to buy a few more colors that look interesting on the website, so I must be liking them a bit more. I will only buy NYX in stores around my town, so I will wait until I see them at a mall near me or a store.
I have to say that these would be great to include in a kit because of the great price. They are $6 each and there are 22 shades ranging from shocking pink to natural. I think they are great quality and affordable, as a lot of NYX is.

So there is my review! Hopefully this was helpful to you.

What do you think of these Matte lipsticks by NYX?

Review - Wet N Wild Juicy Lip Balm in Strawberry Fraise

I was really excited to spot these new lip balms by Wet N wild at CVS recently. I was kind of bummed because out of the four different kinds available, I only saw two: Watermelon and strawberry. But! Out of all the flavors I wanted Strawberry, so I wasn't disappointed.

Here is more info on these Juicy Lip Balms:
Delectably juicy SPF 15 lip balms keep lips moisturized all day. Enriched with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E to soothe and condition. Contains SPF 15 to protect lips from harmful UVB rays. Available in 4 delicious flavors.
280C Cherry
281C Raspberry
282C Watermelon
283C Strawberry
 My Review:
So far using this lip balm has been good. I love almost anything that's Strawberry scented, so I knew I would enjoy this. It glides on super smooth, almost a "melting" effect when you apply it to your lips. I love the way it feels through out the day, and I re-apply it constantly. Not that I need to, I just like to. Haha. What can I say? It's a lip balm, It's moisturizing, it works. Two more great things about this lip balm: the price and the sun protection. The price, $2.99 and SPF 15. Only thing I was wary about was how the lip balm sticks out of the container, so you need to be careful when you put the cap back on. The picture above shows how much is sticking out, so I'm super slow and careful when putting the cap on. hahaha. Other than that, they are super fun and cute.

Have you seen these WNW Juicy Lip Balms yet? What do you think?

N.Y.C. Color Cosmetics Blushable Creme Stick in Gold Radiance Review

I went to Rite-Aid recently and was excited to see that they had the new limited edition N.Y.C. Bronze Bliss collection. Once I saw Nouveau Cheap review this blushable creme stick, I knew I wanted to find it. This is definitely a highlighter because it's so light and has lots of shimmer. I've been looking for a new highlighter, so I was very curious to see how it would work for me.
This is how the Blushable Creme Sticks are described:
This lightweight formula provides sheer, all-over color as well as subtle, shimmering accents, and dynamic highlights to your cheeks. Quick, on-the-go and extremely easy to apply.

Here is a swatch of Gold Radiance:
It was kind of hard to capture it on my cheeks, but you can see some of it here:
Excuse my eyes, but if you make the pic bigger you can see the gold shimmer :)
My Review:
I'm actually really happy with purchasing this. I thought it would be a big glittery mess all over my face. But it wasn't, which was great. I applied it to my cheeks and blended it in with my fingers. Super easy to use and gave a really healthy glow to my skin. I feel like a few swipes of this on each cheek is enough. You could definitely go "shimmer overboard" with this, so just be mindful of that. It's only going to give you shimmer though. If you want something with color or not a lot of shimmer, you should skip this for sure. Overall, I really like it. I will be wearing this most of the Summer now. For the price, $3.99, it's a great product.

Have you tried this or any products from the N.Y.C. limited edition collection?
