Review - One 'n Only Argan Oil Treatment

I have been wanting to try Moroccan Oil for a while now, but just could not pay the price that it cost. I heard about this Argan Oil on Twitter and thought I would give it a try. I am in no way comparing this to Moroccan Oil since I obviously haven't tried it. Just want to put that out there. I bought this at Sally's Beauty Supply for around $8.

My wavy, thick, long hair usually does not like hair products. That was not the case with using this product. I love this. I usually let my hair air dry, so when it's damp, I put this on. I only need 1-2 drops of this, and that's it. Makes my hair softer and more easy to manage. I was getting a lot of tangles in my hair from it being so long and thick. every time I use this, I can actually run my fingers through my hair with no trouble. My hair does look shiny also, but not greasy which is great. It claims to eliminate frizz which is does do. I have no negatives about this at all. Just a tip though, start by using the smallest amount, then add more if you need. You don't want to go overboard, so I use about 2 drops or less and that's plenty. Less is more with this Oil.

Event Recap: ISSE in Long Beach

I was able to attend the ISSE (International Salon and Spa Expo) in Long Beach today. This was my first time and I was super excited to be there. They have everything you can think of in the Hair, skin, and nails world. So many brands were there like China Glaze, OPI, Essie, NYX Cosmetics, Orly, and more. Overall Trends: Smoothing services continued to be popular with more brands introducing a smoothing service treatment and/or featuring new ingredients to improve existing formulations. Colorful, spineless feathers that attach to the hair and can be blow dried, flat ironed, and dyed were a big hit with many stylists using them for a perfect accent piece. Argan oil from Morocco continues to remain popular and is being used in a wider array of beauty products from skincare to styling tools.


 I just wanted to share some pictures of the show and want to thank ISSE for inviting me to go, it was amazing! Of course I shared a picture on twitter of what I bought. Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Review

Ever since I have heard about this new Fit Me line from Maybelline, I knew I had to try it out for myself. I decided to give the foundation a try first before any of the other products. I needed a new one anyways, so perfect opportunity. Here is a little background on my skin. I have dry, sensitive skin with a little bit of redness. I've never had trouble with oily skin. Also, my foundation background is I have only tried and used one kind of foundation, and that is from Dior. I have always loved Dior since I first used it and never changed until now. Okay, so now onto the review!

 My review:
So my shade is 230 Natural Buff which is a great match, and helps to even out my skin tone really well. First thing I noticed is you don't need a lot to get a good coverage. Once on your skin, it feels very lightweight and blends really easily. I have always avoided putting foundation on my T-zone because any product there will make it look super dry and flaky. I used this on my T-zone, and it seemed to actually give me more moisture in my skin. Fit Me foundation also gives a great sheen to my skin, without looking oily or too shiny. Has SPF 18 which is an awesome bonus. I am so happy that I can buy this for $7.99 and never pay $46 ever again!

Sinful Colors Pretty In Pink Collection Swatches

Hey everyone!

So I have a few swatches of the Pretty in Pink Collection that Sinful Colors is coming out with. I was sent 3 polishes out of the 6 that are available. This collection is to get your nails ready for Valentine's Day with all different shades of pink.

Beautiful Girl

Sinful Colors describe this as Classic ballerina with a flirty twist. This color reminds me of just a basic pink, but has more to it. This color is really pretty close up and have been wearing it since I did these swatches. I used 2 coats for this one and application was smooth. 

Boom Boom

Boom Boom is described as a Magenta-infused pink which it definitely is. This color was my favorite out of the three I swatched. It's intense, bold, and will look great for hands and/or toes. This one took about 3 coats to get it to my liking. With just two coats you could still see my nail, so I had to do another coat.

Glass Pink

Sheer, shiny, shimmer-happy bliss is how this is described by Sinful Colors. My least favorite of the three. This was 3 coats and it is obviously sheer! I would probably use this more as a top coat, then an actual polish. If you like sheer polishes, this for you. But I just couldn't get used to it. I'm going to try a NOTD later on this week using this as a top coat just to see what it would look like. I might re-consider my thoughts on it.

So there you have it! I apologize for not having all 6 to swatch, but I hope this helps in some way when thinking about purchasing these 3 colors.

Revlon Crazy Shine Nail Buffer Review

I bought this last week at Walgreens and decided to try it out. I have a lot of different nail buffers but hardly ever use them. Mainly because they end up doing the job, but that's really it. The shine on my nails is never that shiny and it will only last for about a day or two.

Revlon says:

Revolutionary nail buffer creates 400% more shine than bare nails. Buff nails to a topcoat shine in a matter of seconds…results that last for 3 days. 

My review:

I only needed to use this once in 6 days. Yes, the shine stayed on my nails for 6 days! I was super impressed and my nails looked like I had put a top coat. I like that it's over sized for easier buffing, and the shine was really amazing. My nails have been growing like crazy too. I'm not going to say from this, but I can sometimes be the typical nail biter and using this has made me stop completely. This is definitely worth it to try and have with your other nail tools.

Review - Maybelline Volum' Express the Falsies Mascara

I bought this a while ago at Walmart and just recently started to use it after I ran out of my HG mascara. I've been using this mascara for exactly 2 weeks now. I was going to avoid doing a review, only because there are so many already out on other blogs about Falsies Mascara. But then, since there were a few things I didn't like about it, I thought I would share. This is my opinion and my experience as always.

My review:
I actually really like the way this mascara makes my lashes look. I have long, thick, dark lashes so I'm not looking for volume or length. Every time I buy a mascara, I'm looking for something to hold curl. My lashes are super straight, so if a mascara can hold my curl all day or even half day, I'm sold. This in fact held my curl all day long from the morning until I took it off. Very impressed with Falsies and what I needed it to do. One negative I didn't like about it was some flakiness that would happen by the end of the day. I wear contact lenses and a few times the particles would go in my eyes and that was not the greatest. Another thing that I didn't like was the wand was very movable and flimsy, just hard to get used to.I'm still going to continue to use it because I do love how my lashes look.

So that is my review of Maybelline Volum' Express the Falsies Mascara.

NOTD - Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Grey Area

I just recently bought this color, and I love it! I underestimate the greatness Sally Hansen has to offer. I see these Xtreme Wear polishes all the time in drugstores, and always decide to pass them up. When I saw this color though, it was different. Like it was calling out to me and I had to have it.

I think I bought this for $2.79 at Walgreens and the wear has been super great! I've had it on my nails only for about 2 days, but absolutely no nicks or chips. With no top coat! 

Seriously amazing.

Rimmel Glam Eyes Eyeshadow Quad and Trio - Review and Swatches

 Right now you can buy one, get one 50% off Rimmel products at Walgreens, so right when I saw these shadows I figured it was the best time to get a few and try them out. These are my first ever Rimmel products and I have to say that I am really loving them so far. I like the trio a bit more than the quad, but the quality of both are great. 

First, I will show you which quad I picked up. This Glam Eyes Quad is in Smokey Blue:

On the back it gives tips and what quads/trios compliment what eye color. I bought the eyeshadows that compliment brown eyes.

The white in the quad was so pigmented! The others were more pigmented in person than the photo captured. A gorgeous quad for the price.

Then I bought the Glam Eyes Trio in Tempting:

 I am beyond thrilled with this Trio. I rarely ever buy green shadows, I maybe have one or two in my entire collection and I don't know why. The colors in this trio are so amazing, and make my brown eyes pop. 

I am super pleased that I bought both of these and have decided that I definitely need to try more products from Rimmel. If anyone has recommendations on anything I should try, let me know!

Gwen Stefani is the Newest Face for L'Oreal Paris

I don't know how to put into words how much I heart Gwen. I have been an avid fan since her days in No Doubt and I'm super excited that she is the newest spokeswoman for L'Oreal . I am always intrigued by her style and her amazing talents.

L’Oréal Paris’ first commercial with Gwen premieres Sunday during the 68th Golden Globe Awards. She will be seen rocking L'Oreal's "Infallible" Le Rouge lip color. I can never get into watching award shows, but I will definitely be watching and looking out for that commercial!

Review - Lux Addiction Phone Case

So I have a quick review of a phone case made by Lux Addiction. I love sparkly and/glittery stuff and this is super sparkly!! They make cases for all different kinds of phones, you just let them know which model you have. My review is going to be more about my experience with Lux Addiction and how I feel about how the case is made and overall thoughts. 

Price: Now I'm definitely not going to say they are cheap. They are expensive ($79.95) and some may say definitely over priced. If you are crafty, you can always make one yourself. I am not one of those people. I can barely make a beaded necklace and give up half way through. Haha. So the price is going to depend if you really want one. 

Quality: The quality to me is overall okay. After having it on my phone for about 5 hours, one tiny crystal did come off. I checked all other crystals, but no others have came off. Extra crystals do come with your phone as well. It's not a big deal, just wanted to state that it did happen. I do really love the design that I got and it snaps onto your phone with ease. The case fits exactly right and I have had no other problems with it so far.

Experience: My experience with Lux Addiction was really great. They were extremely helpful when I was in contact with them. They told me it would take 2 weeks and it took exactly 2 weeks on the day. Shipping was really fast and it was packaged very nicely in bubble wrap and a medium size white bag.

So there is my initial review of the Lux Addiction phone case. I hope this review helps in some way!

E.L.F. Duo Eyeshadows - Swatches

I always buy from E.L.F. and their studio line, but I hardly have products from their regular line. I got these Duo Eyeshadows from doing a swap recently, and I'm so excited that I did. There are 5 different ones and I have swatches of 2 eyeshadow duos. For $1 each, I can't believe how smooth they are and the color payoff is really great for the price.

I seriously did not expect a lot, but I will definitely be buying the rest of the colors. I wore the Mocha Swirl today with MAC Painterly underneath for a base and the colors have stayed on all day. And for $1, even if they don't work for you, you not losing out on much.

Flirt! Cosmetics High Wattage Lipsticks - Review and Swatches

What Flirt! says about the High Wattage lipsticks:

This rich, creamy, full coverage lipcolor is saturated with high intensity color that glides on smoothly for long wearing results and lasting moisture. 

 

 I have a review on two lipstick colors which are Indulge and Fling. 

 The lipsticks are very creamy, smooth, and pigmented. I only swiped the swatches 3 times and it was enough. I thought they would be more moisturizing as they stated, but they weren't. To me they are basic lipsticks. They lasted maybe 30 minutes until reapplying but not all day lasting. I don't mind, and I do love the color payoff. I usually wear a nude lip so Indulge is a great color giving me shine to my lips as well. Fling is super red if your looking for that perfect bright red! They are retailed for $12, which I think is an okay price, depending on what you want from a lipstick. If you are after an intense colored lipstick, go for these. If you want a lipstick that is all day lasting with hydration, this may not be for you. For me I will be depotting them for use in my kit! :)

Wet N Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Trios - Review and swatches

Hey everyone!

I'm sure you know by now that Wet N Wild is coming out with a bunch of new products and I was lucky enough to find them easy at my local Walgreens. Now, I didn't find all of them but I did get 4 out the 6 available shades. I'm actually happy with the ones I did get because the other two I know I wouldn't really use. I knew they were going to be great, but the are MORE great than I had expected! All pictures can be made bigger, as usual! :)

Eyeshadow Trio in I Got Good Jeans

I have been looking for a navy blue shadow and this palette has what I needed. I almost skipped this one because I wasn't too sure how "wearable" the blues were going to be. Once I swatched them however, they are very usable for everyday looks.

Eyeshadow Trio in I'm Getting Sunburned

 This one will probably be one of the most practical ones that I use the most. I love the crease color in this palette. As always with Wet N' Wild, the shadows are extremely pigmented and easy to blend. The colors are so much more amazing in person.

Eyeshadow Trio in Spoiled Brat

Do you notice what is wrong with this palette? Yes, the crease color is upside down! I didn't even notice until I got home. Haha. The weird thing about that is I always seem to buy the products with beauty flubs. Lol. Anyways, my swatch picture didn't capture how pigmented the black is. It is more pigmented in real life than what the picture is showing. The pink is super bright and the silver is a basic silver shadow.

Eyeshadow Trio in Silent Treatment

Once you have read this post, you need to drop what you are doing, run out to your car, drive to Walgreens, and once you see this palette, grab it! Okay maybe not that extreme, but this is my favorite palette of them all. The colors don't look that amazing in my swatch picture, but they are. I wore this trio today and it is definitely my go-to makeup item at the moment. I already checked another Walgreens for a backup but nothing. They were already out of this one. This one will be gone super fast, so once you do see it, get it.

So there you have it! It's always exciting when Wet N' Wild comes out with new products!! :D
