NOTD - Sally Hansen Gem Crush Nail Color in Big Money

December 6, 2011

I feel like Gem Crush was an appropriate name for these polishes, because I have a crush on this one. These Sally Hansen polishes are new and there are 8 different glittery polishes available. I ended up getting Big Money, which is a champagne pewter color. I decided to add a base color so my nails wouldn't be loaded with just glitter.

I used: Zoya Shay, Gem Crush in Big Money, and Nailene Acrylic Strong Topcoat.
I definitely love this polish! This is the only polish though from the 8 available that I was attracted to. I don't plan on buying any of the others. But this one.. is amazing. I'm wearing this now and I can't stop looking at my nails. They are really distracting considering this is finals week. Haha. Anyways, I ended up getting this at CVS, which they had them for $6.99. Then I had a coupon (CVS extra bucks) for $3 off, so it was $3.99 plus tax of course. That was a great deal since they are new.

Let me know what you think! Have you picked up or seen these polishes?

  2. I bought this is an aqua blue color and as gorgeous as it was, after just two days of wearing it, the polish peeled off my nails in one big piece! I have it laying on my desk and it looks like fake nails. I didn't do base coat (never do) but I did a top coat and it didn't seem to help... Any tips?

  3. I would try using a base coat of any color. That's what I did and had minimal chipping for about a week. After that of course it started to peel off. But I used a nude polish to go with the glitter one. Try using an aqua blue color under the glitter. Let me know how that works! :)

  5. Thank you, aquaheart, I will try that next time :)
And 'imaretard' (what I nice name for yourself), no need to be so rude. I don't spend all my spare time putting on nail polish or researching the correct way to do so. I only just recently became interested in it, so naturally I'm not a pro. If you insist on replying, please attempt to be a little more courteous to people who are just looking for some assistance :)
