Garnier Nutritioniste Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream Review

October 18, 2011

It's been a full month that I have been using this gel-cream moisturizer from Garnier, so I thought now would be a good time to do a review. I was looking for a moisturizer that would be good for dry skin. So when I saw this at CVS, I thought I would give it a try and see how well it would work to block out dryness.

My Review:
Since this is a gel-cream moisturizer, if you have oily skin you might not like the consistency. It's a gel, so when you put it on your face, it's cold and feels like it sits there for a bit on your skin. Then soaking in after a bit. It does have a bit of a fruity, fresh smell which I like, I'm guessing from the grape water extract. I use this every morning before applying my makeup, and at night once I have washed my face. I do like the way that it makes my skin feel and look. I had really dry skin around my nose and forehead, this cleared it up after about a week and a half of constantly using it.

Also, you have to know what my skin type is. With having dry skin, it's also very sensitive. So if I had any reaction to this, it would of happened already. This has been very gentle on my skin and it doesn't feel heavy. For the "Locks-in moisture for 24 hours", I haven't really tested it out for that long. I mean I apply in the morning and by the time I re-apply at night, it's only been 12 hours. Which my skin does still look moisturized by then and not dried out.

Have you tried this? Let me know!

  1. I'm trialing something similar from amrcelle and I'm not sure if it quite does it for me as I have very dry skin that is prone to eczema.

  2. Really? Hmm.. my skin doesn't get that dry, but it is on the drier side. I wonder if anyone with oily skin has tried this. Thanks for your comment! :)
