Review - L'Oreal Eversleek Intense Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner

My hair has been so unmanageable lately that I knew I needed to buy a new shampoo and conditioner. L'Oreal Eversleek Intense Smoothing Shampoo/Conditioner looked interesting and I thought I would give it a try. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and so far it's been a great shampoo. I don't completely love this, and I can't straight out say I hate it either. Here is my review.

I had no problems with the actually use of the products. They smell great and while I was washing and rinsing my hair, could definitely feel it was more softer. Once out of the shower, I let my hair air dry as I always do. Once it was completely dry, I could tell my hair was not as frizzy as it normally would be. I straightened my hair (applying a heat protectant first) and it was super smooth and I had no frizz for the first day which was great.
The next day I noticed a bit of frizz, but not like the way my hair was before this shampoo and conditioner. Still more controlled and manageable. Only thing I didn't like about this, was my hair felt really oily after only the second day. Which never happens. Almost made me want to stop using it, but I love that it controls my wavy hair so I can deal with it. This shampoo is called "Intense Smoothing" for a reason, it does exactly that.

Hopefully this review was helpful to those thinking about trying this product. Let me know what you think!

  1. I have to check it out. I know Jlo uses this so maybe it is good, but I dont like my hair getting oily either.

  2. Your hair probably felt oily because the shampoo doesn't have any sulfates in it. Sulfates strip your hair of natural oils, so the scalp produces more and more of them to compensate, which can leave your hair feeling oily after the first few days. Ultimately, though, it's better for your hair not to use sulfates, and that oily sensation should go away after a few days, depending on your hair.

  3. JLo gets paid to advertise it. I'm sure she doesn't use it and don't forget she has a team of stylists to make sure she looks perfect.
