Another new addition to Covergirl, are the Lip Perfection lipsticks. There are 44 shades ranging from browns, lilacs, nudes, reds, pinks, and more. What impressed me the most was the packaging. I love that it has a modern, sleek case and the color of what lipstick it is on the bottom. My eyes were completely fixated on getting a nude and I was certain that's what I was going to buy. I knew it, my Mother knew it, everyone knew I would get a nude lip color. But as the New Year is fast approaching I told myself, "No, get something bold that you wouldn't get." So I went for more bold colors.
I haven't used Covergirl products since high school, but they have really caught my attention with their new NatureLuxe collection. There are two new products with this line: The NatureLuxe Silk Foundation and the NatureLuxe Gloss Balms.
Conair recently contacted me to give their Infiniti Pro Hair Dryer a try. I try and not use too much heat on my hair, but when I do, I want something that's going to be quick and make my hair at least manageable. I have very thick, long, wavy, and coarse hair which makes me never want to blow dry my hair because it takes at least 30 minutes. Which is way too long and way too much heat. So when I decided on trying out the Conair Infiniti Pro and what it says it can do, I really wanted to see if it could stand up to what it says.
So first, here is what Conair says about the Infiniti Pro:
The new Infiniti Pro by Conair™ 1875-Watt Salon-Performance AC Motor Styling Tool puts salon-performance power in the palm of your hand! The Infiniti Pro utilizes an AC motor, which is the high-performance motor typically designed for hair stylists and salon use. However this professional performance tool is 15 percent lighter than most AC motor dryers, making it easy to harness salon power at home.
In addition to the AC motor benefits the Infiniti Pro dryer also generates neutralizing ions to seal the hair cuticle, reducing frizz and enhancing shine. A removable filter prevents damaging lint buildup and further extends the motor life.
Now here is my review:
Overall, I think it's a great hair dryer. It cut down my drying time to about 15 minutes instead of 30 which was a huge surprise. It tells you in the instructions what setting to use. So for the type of hair that I have, it said the highest setting. The dryer itself is still a little bit on the heavy side, but I do understand that it's 15% lighter than salon hair dryers. I used to use salon hair dryers in cosmetology school and I think that is pretty accurate. My arm didn't feel weighed down and it wasn't hard to work with at all. For the end result, my hair did had less frizz than when I would use my other hair dryer.
Infiniti Pro by Conair 1875-Watt Salon-Performance AC Motor Styling Tool is available nationwide at mass market and drug store retailers, as well as www.conairdryer.com, for an average retail price of $38.99
Conair was also generous enough to let me give one away to one of my readers as well!

I thought it would be a good idea to do a post on my top 5 beauty products of 2010. It was so hard to choose only 5, I could of done 10, but I wanted to challenge myself. These products are the ones that I have been using the absolute most out of the year. I either started out the year using some, or might have bought some during the year. Either way they are my go to beauty products even to this day. Technically, I would be lost without them. So in no particular order:
I have a quick EOTD post for you all. Nothing overboard or exciting, but I did want to do some sort of a green look. I used a mint green for the inner half of my eye and a forest dark green for the outer half and went into the crease.
I am completely saddened that Everyday Minerals doesn't make the color "Eco-Friendly" anymore (which is the minty green shadow I used). I don't see it on their website and I love love that color! Look I even swatched it:
It's so amazing. I'm going to have to hold on to my jar for as long as I can. Haha! Anyways, I only used like 3 shadows so I'm not going to go into detail on everything I used. The dark forest green is from the Too Faced Smokey Eye Palette.
I decided to get myself an early Christmas present, and this set was the first thing on my list. I bought it from Apothica.com and shipping was so fast! I ordered it last Thursday and it was here on Monday. Surprisingly I have no Stila lip glazes, but I have heard a lot about them and I couldn't wait to try them out. This is their new Holiday set, where you get 8 lip glazes. 4 of them are their most popular colors, and the other 4 are limited holiday-exclusive shades.
Here are the first 4 from the collection. Blush and Guava were more on the sheer side, with Kitten and Seashell having more shimmer to them. Seashell and Blush are limited Edition shades.
Here are the other 4. I love majesty and Merry Merry on the lips. I don't usually do red lipstick, so Merry Merry gives me a sheer red lip without me feeling like it's too much. Perfect for the holidays. Overall, I think this is a great set for anyone. The lip glosses themselves are on the sticky side, but definitely not heavy which I like. Each lip gloss comes with .05oz and the regular lip glazes have .08oz and are $22 each. So for 8 lip glazes for $25 is a great price and I think worth buying this year.
Hopefully this helps some of you who are thinking about getting this set :)
I don't use very many Korres products, but I do love this lip set that I had bought a while ago. It comes with 2 lip glosses, lip scrub, and lip butter. This set is definitely for the neutral lip lover! I will choose a nude lip over a colored lip for an everyday look. I will give a small review each one below and have swatches of the lip glosses. Is it worth buying? Let's see.
Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine
I do like the way this lip butter feels on my lips and how it gives you a very sheer nude color to your lips. These normally retail for $10 on their own and I always tend to reach for this more than any other lip balm. It gives my lips a nice shine, but I wouldn't say it gets rid of my chapped lips.
Korres Organic Lemon Lip Scrub
Love this lip scrub! First of all, I love that it's in a lipstick case instead of a jar like most are. It does exactly what it is made to do. It gets rid of all the dry skin (sounds awful) on my lips and makes them super smooth. Doesn't moisturize, so it's a good thing to use the lip butter after. This retails for $19 by itself.
Korres Cherry Oil Lip Glosses in Rose and Beige
And lastly the set comes with 2 of their Cherry Oil lip glosses which are absolutely amazing. They are sheer but have a great shimmer to them. These retail for $17 each. I wear Beige almost all the time and have Rose in my purse as a back up.
So the total on all the products if you were to buy them separately is $63. You can buy this set on their website for $34.50 which is a pretty good deal. Hope you enjoyed this review!
I hate removing glitter polish from my nails, but it's all worth it once I bought these. I was able to find the Revlon Just Add Sparkle Collection at my local Walgreens. I was able to get 3 out of the 4 glitters, Belle is missing from the swatches. There are 4 other creme polishes that go with each of the glitters. I have so many polishes that looked like the creme ones, so I decided to just use what I have in my own nail collection.
Star, Galaxy, and Slipper
Galaxy over Sinful Colors Hot Spot:
Star over Mag Glaze Fuggin Ugly:
Slipper over OPI Buy-Buy, Tokyo!:
So there you have it! Sorry for all the nail posts, I'm on a nail kick right now. Haha. I have hair reviews and some makeup swatches coming up! :)
I did not expect to buy any polishes from the China Glaze Tis the Season To Be Naughty and Nice Holiday Collection this year, even though they all looked extremely amazing. But I saw the Merry Mint set at my local Sally's for a reduced price and decided to get it. I'm so happy I did end up getting it. It came with China Glaze Peppermint Cuticle Oil, China Glaze Naughty and Nice, and China Glaze Mrs. Claus. I decided to go with Mrs. Claus nail polish first to try out, and I actually really like it more than I thought I would.
It is a bit on the sheer side, but I surprisingly like that about the polish. I can wear it alone or layer it over another color. It's a sheer red with red glitter, and I adore it. More than expected.
About a year ago I did a review on a few candles for a company called Yum Yum Candle. They have some of the most incredible smelling candles. Ever. Now they have expanded their line and have some body care products. Bath Bombs, Body Polish, and Whipped Body Cream are all available within their line Yum E'scentials. The products are hand made and never tested on animals. They sent me 2 products: Body Polish and Whipped Body Cream to try out and review. Here is what I thought and my honest opinion.
I was sent 7oz to sample, when you buy you get 16oz. Right away I really like the mango smell it has. The directions say to apply this in a circular motion. I did and at first it felt like any other body scrub, nothing different. But then once I started rinsing it off, it was different. It felt like there was a coat of moisturizer left on my skin. I have dry/sensitive skin, so this was great to leave my skin feeling soft, even until the next day. And the scrub wasn't too harsh either for my skin. I love the body polish more and more every time I use it.
I didn't have the same love for the body cream as I did for the body polish. It was very creamy and left my skin feeling soft, which was great. Only downside is that it felt extremely greasy to me. I kept rubbing it in, trying to get it to soak into my skin. It eventually did, but I had to wait to get dressed so it could dry. Even what was left on my hands I had to wipe on a towel and wash off. I'm not a huge fan of greasy lotions. But it did leave my skin feeling softer than before. So it just has good and bad to it.
So first of all, I must apologize for the small nubbins that we will call "my nails". I went to get a manicure and she cut them down to make them even. *sigh*. So hopefully these swatches are still okay. Also, let me say that these are not all of the polishes that came out. I have swatches of 4 out of 8 polishes. Half is good, right? My CVS had only these and I knew I had to get them with Milani being BOGO 50% off this week. Who am I kidding, even without a sale I would of bought them. Okay here they are!
Milani One Coat Glitter in Gold Glitz, Purple Gleam, Red Sparkle, and Jewel FX in Jems.
All of the swatches were done with 2 coats, I guess they could be done with 1 coat, but you could still see my nail, so I prefer 2. I never, ever do red polishes, but one of my favorites was Red Sparkle which surprised me. I didn't want to take it off! I do love all the colors I did swatch, Milani always has some great polishes. Nouveau Cheap, through Lovely Android, has confirmed that these are not limited edition. So if you haven't found these, don't worry.
In the past, I had always looked over Milani Cosmetics and not really paid attention to the kind of products that they carry. Now I know that they do have some really great products that are quality products with the drugstore price. I’m happy to hear a lot more about the brand through YouTube reviews and many other bloggers. Just know, that I have not tried everything from this brand, so these are just a few products that I have tried, loved, and still use to this day.
Milani EYE TECH Liquid Liner ($6.99)
I have to say that this is one of THE best liquid liners I have ever used. I will not trade for a different liner, I have this in my makeup bag and use it everyday. I did a liquid liner test a while back, Um like a year back (here is the post) and that test proved that price and brand does not mean a thing. I will never stop re-purchasing this liner and I hope they never stop making it! Haha =D
Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss ($6.99)
These came out with their Spring line this year, and I had bought a few right when I saw them. They give you super shiny and glossy lips without all the stickiness some lip glosses can have. I love these, and all the colors are very wearable.
Milani Secret Cover Concealer Compact ($4.99)
I just recently bought this at my local Walgreens and it was on sale for $2.30, so I figured why not give it a try. I was actually really surprised that I like the formula. It gives full coverage and it's very easy to apply. I use my fingers, so that they can warm up the product a bit to make it apply easier. This one is also oil-free, which at first concerned me being that I have dry/normal skin. But it still worked really well and I use now than my MAC concealer.
Milani Nail Lacquers ($4.49)
Milani has some great nail polishes, even coming out with limited edition ones. They are long-wearing, and very easy to work with. I only have a few Milani polishes, but every time I buy some, I know they are going to be very smooth and give gorgeous color. One of my favorites is Milani Dress Maker. A very popular color that was hard to find for some.
