NOTD - Revlon Perplex

I have a quick NOTD, which is Revlon Perplex. I had been hearing a lot about this color being a dupe for Chanel Paradoxal. I sadly don't own the Chanel polish, but Pink Sith has as great post on the comparison of the two. I'm not too sad about not owning it, being that Revlon Perplex is a close dupe, I'm happy I bought it. I love plum nail polishes so I knew I was going to love it if it was a dupe or not. This color is so limited, it was hard for me to find. I had to go to 4 different CVS, and the last one had the full display with 8 of them.

What do you think? Have you seen this color?

NYX Cosmetics 10 Color Palette in Casting Call Swatches and Review

NYX Cosmetics had came out recently with 4 new 10 color palettes part of their runway collection. I have just a quick review of the palette in Casting Call.
It has a couple of brown eyeshadows, but mostly different shades of grey and black. Some are more sheer than others. Here are the swatches:
In order as the palette itself.

I like this palette for a smokey look, but I feel the colors are kind of lacking with being very pigmented. I am going to play around with it a little more to see if anything changes my mind. But out of the swatches above, only 4 were really to my liking. The rest were really sheer and not very appealing. In my opinion, I say buy their individual eyeshadows than one the 10 color palettes. Those are way more pigmented. It's a nice palette to give as a gift, but the palette looks nicer than the eyeshadows actually are.

Quality: 3 out of 5
Packaging: 5 out of 5
Price: 4 out of 5

I hope this review helped in some way! Let me know what you think!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey everyone!

I just want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and remember what today is all about: giving thanks.

I am so thankful for all the family and friends that I have around me. I recently lost my Dad and this Thanksgiving is going to be extremely hard to get through without him. Very thankful to have my daughter to keep me going and puts a smile on my face all day long everyday. Also for my mom, she has been there for me in every way possible.

And last but definitely not least, I am so thankful and grateful for all my readers. I could never imagine that my blog would be where it is today. I feel very blessed to have met and chatted with so many great people through blogging, Twitter, and Facebook. I look forward to getting to know more great bloggers and more readers that will follow me through my makeup obsessions :)

Brand Bests #11 - Wet N Wild Cosmetics

How can you not love a brand that gives you quality products at an affordable price? Wet N Wild cosmetics has been around for some time, but recently it's been the brand everyone has been talking about. On Youtube, Blogs, Twitter, everyone wants their products. Since I have a lot of new readers, I want to briefly explain what a "Brand Bests" post is. They are a series of posts of what I think, from my own experience, are the best products from that specific brand. This is my opinion always. So let's see what I picked! :)

Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes ($4.99)
Yes, everyone is after the limited edition Holiday Color Icon Palettes, but the ones that are always available are great as well. Depending, some colors are either more sheer than others, or more pigmented. Either way I love how I can have all the colors I need to do a look in one simple palette. It doesn't get more simple than that.

Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner ($3.99)
This eyeliner is really as amazing as everyone says. I love the liner, but I don't use the brush. It's just too short for me, so I use my own angled liner brush. I seriously stopped buying the MAC creme eyeliner and use this one. It works just as good, just as pigmented, only cheaper!

Megalast Lip Colors ($2.99)
I did a review and have a couple of swatches of these lipsticks already here, so you can see why they would be in my Brand Bests.

Color Icon Blushers ($2.99)
These blushers work really great and are pigmented enough for a great look. I believe they have a plum one that I have been wanting for Fall, but the two pinkish colored ones I do have, I love. One I have has a bit of shimmer in it, and the other is more matte. I don't know which 2 they are, I got them in the Wet N Wild makeup box.

So I hope you enjoyed my Brand Bests. Wet N Wild Cometics can be found at various drugstores.

What are your favorite products from Wet N Wild? Comment below and let me know!

Sinful Colors Is Wild About The Holidays!

Sinful Colors really has your nails covered this holiday season with 3 cheap, yet amazing sets. The sets are perfect sizes for stocking stuffers or even as an added gift to that polish or makeup lover on your list. The sets include:

Wild About Color - a mini kit of five unique, twinkling shades in a mini tote bag ($4.99)
It's Holidays with Holiday Color Nail Art - Five shades of polish and three shades of nail art ($1.99)
Holiday Mini's - five tiny holiday-inspired polishes ($.99)

I found the Wild About Color set at my local Walgreens and grabbed it right away with no second guessing. The colors seemed nice and for the price, I knew I couldn't go wrong. I have a couple of other Sinful Colors polishes, and I really love how they are great quality for a cheap price. These are all mini versions of polishes they already have.

And here is a swatch of each color:
San Francisco
Sugar Sugar

All About You

Rich In Heart

Secret Admirer

OMG! I love all of them it's hard for me to choose a favorite. Personally for me, I don't mind them being mini size. The brushes are a great size, making it easy to apply the polish with no trouble. All of the swatches were done with only 2 coats which seemed like enough. This is a great set!

So what do you think of this set? Which color is your favorite?

NOTD - Hard Candy Mushroom

Hey everyone! I have just a quick post of my NOTD. Hard Candy Mushroom is a very flattering brown polish that is perfect for Fall. This is one of the newest polishes that Hard Candy has come out with recently. After looking at my nail polish collection, this is the only brown nail polish that I own. And it's probably the only one I need now. Love this color so much. This was only 2 coats, I could of did 3 to make it more opaque.

Hope you like! Let me know what you think!

Maybelline Smokey Eyes Set for $10!

A smokey eyes set by Maybelline for only $10? Yes please! It is true, I saw it at Wal-Mart while I was browsing the holiday section yesterday. For what is in the kit, I thought it was a pretty good deal and I picked it up. I had been planning on getting the Falsies Volume Express Mascara anyways, so everything else in the kit was a nice bonus.

Here is what the kit looks like:
The back:
This smokey eyes Set ($19 value) comes with Falsies Mascara, Line Express Eyeliner in Ebony Black, and Expert Wear Eyeshadow Quad in Charcoal Smokes. They also had another set for neutral eyes I think? Something that had browns instead of greys. I will do a look with this set if you want :) Just let me know in the comments!

What do you think of this set?

Review - The Chronic Tonic Shampoo and Conditioner

When I find a good shampoo and conditioner, I tend to stick with it and hardly ever change. While it was hard pry me away from my usual shampoo/conditioner, I'm glad I made a switch. I was sent this product to try and I'm hooked. I can't get over how amazing it smells, I'm guessing that's where the chronic part comes in. It's addicting.

The Chronic Tonic can be used on normal and color treated hair. It's also paraben-free, sulfate-free, and not tested on animals.

My hair is so long and thick, and it's also very heavy. So I wasn't too sure how my hair would be after once it was completely dried. I was very surprised that my hair felt so soft and had a natural shine to it. I shine that I noticed right away.

Tonic hair care products are more intended for people that are active, like swimming, surfing, etc. Even though I'm not very active other than running after my 2 year old (which is enough activity every day), I still love Tonic shampoo and conditioner. It does the job of making my hair soft and more manageable.

EOTD Using Wet N Wild Sugar Plum Fairy Coloricon Holiday Palette

Hey everyone!
So I have another EOTD, but I used my Wet N Wild holiday palette for this look. I wanted a more daytime look, than something darker. I was so excited  to use this particular palette Sugar Plum Fairy and it did not disappoint. It is even better than I had hoped! It had the perfect purples all in one palette, so convenient!
I've been hearing through Twitter that this is one of the most hardest palettes of the holiday collection to find. Hope you like! Let me know!

Did you find the Sugar Plum Fairy Palette? Or any of them? Which palette is your favorite?

Review - Incoco Dry Nail Applique Polish Strips

I was extremely curious about how great Incoco Dry Nail Applique could actually be. Could they really pass off as a real colored manicure like you came out of the nail salon? Well maybe not exact, but pretty close!
When I first tried these out, BIG FAIL. I read the directions on the box and it was hard for me to do it as easy as it said it would be. Then, I decided to go to their website and look up the video where it shows step by step what to do. Huge help! Once I saw the video, I went back to trying and it took me less than 3 minutes to finish one hand. Took a little time, but I got used to it. Now I'm slightly addicted to them. They are just so easy to use, for those times when you are in a rush and have no time to wait for wet nails to dry. Just put these on, and you have a great looking manicure!
Incoco Dry Nail Applique in Jazz Blue

Now, the sizes of these were kind of weird. They were either too big for my nails or too slim on the sides. So I had to file the sides on some and try to stretch a few to reach the sides. Kind of a bother. Could be my nails are oddly shaped. Not too sure if anyone else had this problem, let me know if you have before.

Now another thing, they claim to last 14 days. After about 5 days my nails started to slightly chip on the ends of the nails. After about 8 days, they started to chip on the sides. By the 10th day I took the polish off with nail polish remover. So I can't really vouch for the 14 days that they claim.

So I hope this was helpful when your thinking about getting these. Incoco is available at Walgreens and on Incoco.com

EOTD - Bascially Bronze

Here is an EOTD from last week that I wanted to share. I must be honest and say, that I am such a neutral girl! Anyone else? I tend to pick up my neutral colors almost everyday more than bold, bright eyeshadows. I'm hoping to break out of my rut pretty soon and do some more daring looks. I'm too much in my comfort zone! Haha. So anyways, here is an EOTD using 2 shadows from OCC. My pictures didn't come out that great and my eyeliner was a mess, so hope you don't mind :)

Here is a list of what I used:
- Too Faced Shadow Insurance
- MAC Beige-ing Shadestick
- OCC Loose Colour in Flicker and Brasstacks
- Basic beige shadow for the highlight
- Milani black liquid liner
- Chanel Inimitable Mascara

Hope you like!

Wet N Wild Coloricon Holiday Palettes - Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Sprite

Hey everyone!

So I had been on the hunt for these Wet N Wild Holiday Palettes ever since people were finding them and was having no luck. Yesterday my luck changed and my local Walgreens had the palettes. So happy they were on top of it to bring out the holiday makeup right away. I ALMOST missed them because I didn't see them in the front or where they have the Wet N Wild display. They were located on the side of an end cap with other holiday stuff from E.L.F. Cosmetics, Sally Hansen, and other unknown cheaper brands.

I would of got the other two: Golden Goddess and Night Elf, but I wasn't really after those so went with these two.

So let's start with Sugar Plum Fairy:
In same order as pictured above in the palette: left side and right side.

I'm so happy I bought Sugar Plum Fairy. They are so pigmented and really great for the price. I can't wait to use this one for a purple look.

Now onto Snow Sprite:
In same order as pictured above in the palette: left side and right side.
Another winner. I love that this one has greens and blues, they are so pretty. These were all swatched with no base or anything, just the shadows.

Have you bought these? Are you still looking for them? Let me know what you think about these palettes!
